Join us! The GoFundMe team is searching for our next Benefits Analyst to join our dynamic People Team, reporting directly to the Benefits Manager. This role will support our growing global benefits function with a focus on leave of absence administration, billing and compliance, employee communications, and analytical support. The Benefits Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring employees have a seamless benefits experience while helping the company scale effectively as we expand our self-funded strategy.
The Job
Leave of Absence & Global Program Support
- Serve as the primary administrator for all domestic and international leave of absence programs, including medical, parental, personal, and statutory leaves.
- Conduct Leave of Absence (LOA) intake meetings, maintain accurate records using external and internal platforms, and partner with managers and People Partners on return-to-work planning.
- Monitor compliance with FMLA, ADA, FEHA, and other statutory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Own the interactive process for workplace accommodations, including employee check-ins, documentation and coordination with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Benefits Billing, Reconciliation & Compliance
- Own monthly reconciliation for all domestic and international benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and wellbeing programs.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices, track variances, and escalate discrepancies.
- Support compliance reporting (5500, PCORI, ACA, state filings) in partnership with Benefits Manager and Finance.
- Maintain up-to-date process documentation and audit controls for all benefits operations.
Self-Funded Plan Support
- Partner with the Benefits Manager to analyze medical and pharmacy claims data, identify cost drivers, and prepare reports for Finance and leadership.
- Support stop-loss reporting and quarterly claim reviews with carriers and third-party administrators.
- Track performance of disease management, wellness, and vendor point solutions to evaluate ROI.
- Assist with modeling plan design changes, cost-sharing strategies, and contribution scenarios.
- Maintain benchmarking data and provide analytical insights to guide self-funded plan decisions.
Employee Communications & Engagement
- Design clear, engaging employee communication materials for Open Enrollment, new program rollouts, and ongoing benefits education.
- Create visual assets, infographics, and short-form videos to simplify complex benefits topics and enhance the employee experience.
- Partner with the DEIB team to maintain accurate benefits content on the intranet and other employee resources.
- Support training sessions, webinars, and benefit office hours to drive employee engagement.
Collaboration & Team Support
- Partner closely with Benefits Manager, People Partners, Finance, Payroll, and brokers external carriers to deliver a seamless benefits experience.
- Contribute to benefits projects such as renewals, RFPs, wellness initiatives, and vendor implementations.
- Leverage HRIS and reporting tools (e.g., Paylocity, Bswift, Visier, or similar) to generate insights and improve processes.
You
Experience & Expertise
- 5+ years of experience in benefits administration, with exposure to both U.S. and international programs.
- Strong knowledge of leave of ADA, FEHA, absence laws, workplace accommodations and compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting or exposure to self-funded medical plans is a strong plus. Analytical & Detail- Oriented
- Analytical mindset with experience interpreting data, running reports, and identifying trends.
- Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets; experience with HRIS and benefits platforms.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with high attention to detail. ● Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex benefits information into employee-friendly language.
Design & Communication Skills
- Ability to create videos, visuals, and presentations that simplify complex benefits topics.
- Experience with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent. ● Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate benefits information into employee-friendly language.
Project Management & Collaboration
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Benefits, People Partners, Payroll, and Finance. ● Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment

The total annual salary for this full-time position is $90,000 - $135,000 + equity + benefits. As this is a remote position, the salary range was determined by role, level, and possible location across the US. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
