THE ROLE As a pivotal leader within our expanding Bangalore Finance Hub, you will drive the global mission of optimizing cash flow and strengthening Pure Storage’s financial foundation. You will lead a high-performing collections team to transform manual collections into a tech-forward, automated powerhouse while partnering closely with Global Sales,  Revenue, and client teams to balance risk with customer success. This role is a unique opportunity to build a scalable, AI-driven collections function that supports our mission of delivering a modern data experience worldwide.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead and Scale Global Operations: You will coach and develop a high-performing collections team, fostering a culture of accountability and empathy while ensuring the timely resolution of global overdue balances and dispute management.
• Drive Digital Transformation: Partner with IT and Finance to migrate from manual workflows to automated, AI-based solutions, leveraging tools like NetSuite, Salesforce, and Tableau to streamline reporting, reconciliations, and compliance.
• Strategic Cash Management: Own the monthly and quarterly cash flow forecasting process and monitor DSO trends, providing executive leadership with actionable insights and performance metrics that influence business decisions.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a key bridge and collaborator between Revenue, Billing, Sales, Tax, Credit, Accounting, IT, etc. to resolve complex billing and payment issues, while building strong relationships within our partner community, and to navigate sales escalations effectively.
• Process Excellence and Governance: Maintain and optimize global collections policies and SOX controls, ensuring all activities meet internal audit requirements while continuously upskilling the team on industry best practices.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor large-scale Finance or AR teams within a fast-paced, global technology or SaaS environment, with a focus on professional development and team upskilling.
• Systems Expertise and Automation Mindset: High proficiency in ERP systems (such as NetSuite) and a track record of successfully implementing automation tools, RPA, or AI-driven analytics to replace manual financial processes.
• Advanced Communication and Negotiation: Exceptional fluency in spoken and written English, with the ability to influence internal stakeholders and external partners, effectively managing high-stakes escalations and complex financial negotiations.
• Analytical Problem Solving: A data-driven approach to collections management, with the ability to translate aging reports and DSO metrics into clear strategies for bad debt mitigation and operational improvement.
• Global Operational Agility: Flexibility to collaborate across time zones—including alignment with California-based headquarters—and the ability to work independently to drive results in a high-growth, multi-currency environment.

Preferred:

•       BS or BA or related professional qualification.
•       Familiarity with automation tools and AR analytics platforms.
•       Exposure to global operations and working with remote teams across time zones.
•       Experience implementing or managing RPA or workflow tools in AR/Collections.

•       Strong leadership with a balance of empathy and accountability.
•       Analytical thinker who can translate data into insight and action.
•       Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
•       Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage competing priorities.
•       Passion for continuous improvement, automation, and operational excellence.

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Bangalore, India office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
