We’re looking for a commercially sharp, people-firstSenior Compensation Manager to help shape the future of reward at Monzo. You’ll be at the heart of building a reward experience that’s fair, progressive and built to scale. Not just fit for today, but ready for tomorrow.

You’ll lead on high-impact, cross-company activity, from benchmarking and pay reviews, to evolving our frameworks for progression, levelling and compliance.

🔑You’ll play a key role by…

As our Senior Compensation Manager, you’ll work across the business to build and evolve our reward programmes, making sure they’re competitive, equitable, and future-ready. Here's what you’ll be working on with the support of our Reward Analysts:

  • Leading our annual pay review including key stakeholder management including Senior Management, People Partners, Hiring team and Business during the compensation team process
  • Leading our salary and overall compensation benchmarking to make sure we remain competitive against our peers so we can attract and retain the talent needed for success, including collaborating with our hiring team during the job offers stage
  • Maintaining and developing Monzo’s pay frameworks and job levelling to make sure we continue to fairly assess and reward folks for their work
  • Owning compensation reporting, MI and analytics
  • Working alongside our wonderful team mates in the Payroll and People Ops teams to implement and improve reward processes to give Monzo employees the best experience
  • Be the main point of contact for compensation related questions or requests coming from the Business, People Partners and Hiring.
  • Helping to enhance how we use our systems within the team and explore ways to expand how we use them further
  • Supporting the VP of Reward, Head of Compensation and wider Reward team to deliver a compelling Reward and Recognition strategy that is aligned with our mission and people strategy 

 

🤩 We’d love to hear from you if…

You  are a technical Compensation expert with deep experience of UK and global compensation within fast paced and scaling technology companies (the FS experience is a nice to have) and have:

  • Lead the creation of or evolvement of a Compensation Philosophy
  • Lead annual pay review cycles end to end, including extensive modelling to align with budget requirements
  • Lead the annual benchmarking process, including extensive analysis including various data sources with alignment to salary bands and job architecture
  • You have been responsible for compensation statutory reporting requirements such Gender Pay Gap reporting, Pay Transparency

  • A 30-minute call with a recruiter
  • An initial conversation with someone from the team
  • A practical written exercise
  • 2–3 final stage interviews held remotely via Google Meet
