As a Senior Data Analyst II, Growth Analytics, you will be a critical contributor to MongoDB’s Product-Led-Growth business, becoming an expert in the middle and later stages of our relationship with customers to help identify and respond to changes in business performance and adjust our strategies accordingly. This is a highly visible role whose work will be directly leveraged at the executive level to drive priority initiatives like high-value customer acquisition, long-term retention, and optimization of expert resource deployment to enable MongoDB’s expanding customer base to achieve success with their applications.

This role requires someone with strong statistical and technical skills, who is comfortable working across multiple functional areas in a fast-paced environment and explaining complex quantitative concepts to occasionally less quantitative audiences. An ideal mix of curiosity, technical expertise, and collaborative spirit will allow you to become a trusted partner and the go-to expert for interpreting and explaining complex revenue metrics and trends, identifying key drivers of conversion, expansion, and contraction, while championing best practices in data analytics. You are the type of person who needs to know why a trend changes and builds methodologies that help you understand those changes more quickly.

We are looking for candidates for our hybrid working model that are based out of the East Coast.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Growth team’s Expansion Squad, which is focused on implementing cutting-edge growth tactics and experimentation methods, identifying key drivers of revenue inflection among MongoDB’s PLG customer base and proposing strategic initiatives that the team can leverage to further drive growth
  • Develop and maintain high-quality revenue analysis and reporting spanning multiple revenue metrics, allowing for key stakeholders to explain the current state of the PLG business and understand how it has changed over time
  • Automate analytical pipelines, develop tools, and maintain certified data codebases to ensure reproducibility, scalability, and efficiency of insights delivery
  • Continuously learn about the product, the user ecosystem, and industry best practices to drive innovation and high-quality analysis
  • Support Lead Flow initiatives, helping to drive efficiency in MongoDB’s MQL pipeline and ensure a smooth handoff of promising customers to the right sales team at the right time
  • Serve as an analytical and technical thought leader to stakeholders across the Product, Marketing, and Analytics teams
Skills & Attributes
  • At least 5 years of experience in highly technical, quantitative roles; prior experience with revenue analysis, including familiarity with recurring revenue metrics
  • Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field strongly preferred
  • Strong skills in SQL and Python or R, with a proven ability to automate workflows and build scalable solutions
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and other forms of experimentation, with the ability to delve into experiment results, explain what worked and what didn’t, and propose iterations if needed
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex quantitative concepts to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, curious, and collaborative, with a commitment to fostering a positive work environment and contributing to the team’s success
