PURE IN PRAGUE

We opened our R&D Second Home (besides the one in Silicon Valley) in Prague in January 2020 and since then we have experienced unbelievable growth. Our Engineers are solving complex engineering problems (from low-level system software to cloud computing) that help us innovate our cutting-edge products. Besides our world-class Software Engineering teams, we have many other talented colleagues working in Product Management, Sales, Finance, and HR to name a few. What’s more, we’ve developed these teams from talent across the globe.

DX TEAM

In 2015, Pure Storage established Pure1 as a new product unit to provide its customer base with AI/ML powered cloud-based fleet management and predictive support solutions. With the ever-growing focus on subscription services and as-a-Service offerings, we rebranded ourselves to Digital Experience (DX) in 2021.

In Digital Experience, our goal is to deliver the ultimate in fleet management simplicity. In the last four years, Pure1 has consistently extended its services and now provides full-stack analytics and AI-driven predictive intelligence through a SaaS-based business model. Pure1 enables the customer's journey to the hybrid cloud by offering a single pane of glass to manage data assets on-prem and in the public cloud. In addition to that, we are offering a variety of as-a-Service solutions to solve modern customer needs.

Services developed in DX form the unifying manageability and intelligence layer on top of all Pure products - FlashArray, FlashBlade, Portworx and more to come. It is the nexus of our promise of a simple customer experience, providing insights and tools to help make our customers' lives better.

CYBERTRON TEAM

The mission of the Cybertron team is to transform the data management within the company from a tactical and very engineering driven data solution to an industry standard, production ready data management platform that serves wide business needs while providing compliance with all company and legal data governance and security policies and regulations.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BE...

• Create and manage the architectural design of a data platform that facilitates data discovery, integration, and consumption.
• Collaborate with data producers, educate them on data quality, ownership, and guide them to become active data stewards.
• Identify, design, and automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, re-design infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources into Snowflake.
• Create and review technical solution requirements documents.
• Align with industry leading technology standards to develop solutions capabilities.
• Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
• Providing customer support and collecting feedback for improving and enhancing the platform capabilities and user experience.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture, platform design, and data integration.
• Proficient with Python and/or Java.
• Good knowledge with Tableau/Power BI
• Advanced relational SQL knowledge, including experience with databases like Postgres.
• Hands-on experience with data warehouses such as AWS Redshift, or Snowflake.
• Working knowledge of data pipeline and workflow management tools such as Airflow, Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, Snaplogic, Boomi etc.
• Experience with stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, Kafka etc.
• Extracting data from various sources, such as databases, log files, and APIs.
• Strong understanding of data management life cycle, data safety protocols, and governance.
• Hands-on experience with data quality management capabilities and analysis.
• Proven ability in data transformation processes, metadata management, dependency, and workload management.
• Experience performing root cause analysis to address business questions and identify areas for improvement.
• Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence decisions and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Program management capabilities with a history of successful delivery.
• Very good communication skills
• Ability to drive improvements in reporting, data quality, etc.
• Focus on detail
• Natural curiosity with proven design sensibility and willingness to work in a collaborative, team oriented environment

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague, Czech Republic  office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. 

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
