Joining Collibra’s Data Office team

Collibra is looking for a Senior Data Intelligence Manager in our growing Data Office to enable our business to find, understand, and trust our enterprise data. This role will be an integral part in helping Collibra’s rapid growth and our thought leadership position in data intelligence. 

This is a hands-on, roll up your sleeves position and requires a passion for data governance,  data quality, data policy, compliance, and risk management, as well as metadata, and cataloging. You communicate as well with technology as with business stakeholders. You will bring your experience to operationalize Collibra’s enterprise data intelligence strategy and drive internal adoption of Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud.You will  promote a culture of data literacy through various adoption programs.

This is a hybrid role based in our Brussels office. Our hybrid model means you’ll work from the office at least two days each week. This setup helps us stay connected, work more closely together, and keep making progress as a team.

Senior Data Intelligence Managers at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Optimizing data practices to enable fellow Collibrians to efficiently create effective and well-understood data products
  • Defining and/or refining processes to simplify and provide a delightful user experience
  • Developing structured programs to promote data literacy and user adoption
  • Acting as the voice of the customer internally, ensuring user needs and feedback directly influence product development
  • Being early adopters of new features and products, providing critical insights and shaping their evolution
  • Contributing to the development of federated data governance policies, standards, and supporting their automation

You have:

  • 7+ years of experience operationalizing policy, procedure, quality assurance and/or change management programs
  • Knowledge of IT systems, applications, technologies (including cloud and SaaS), and dashboarding tools like Tableau, Power BI
  • Familiarity with Data Ethics frameworks
  • Worked in a non-traditional office environment using virtual teaming and working remotely
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and oral, applying those skills for technical and business audiences in the form of documentation and requirements
  • Direct experience with managing and using the Collibra platform, as well as Collibra University certification such as Data Governance Lead, Steward, or Solution Architect is preferred
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience is required
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Measures of success:

  • Within your first month, you will familiarize yourself with the existing data intelligence platform and data products and begin to develop strong relationships with business partners and stakeholders that you support including understanding their top priorities and pain points.
  • Within your third month, you will identify opportunities for improvements to the existing data governance practices and you will be a certified solution architect.
  • Within your sixth month, you will have become the trusted go-to Data Intelligence partner for data teams and business stakeholders across the company as they benefit from the data governance practices and culture of data literacy you’ve built, trusting in the data they consume to make informed business decisions and you will be a certified Collibra Ranger.
