Job Description

Due to an internal move within the HelloFresh Group, we’re seeking an exceptional Senior Director of Finance to oversee the end to end finance function while steering financial performance of five businesses within the Australia & New Zealand cluster 

ANZ Cluster constitutes; HelloFresh Australia, HelloFresh New Zealand, EveryPlate, Youfoodz, BeCool Refrigerated Couriers Group

Reporting directly to the ANZ Founder & CEO, with a dotted line to the HelloFresh Group CFO, you’ll be a key member of the ANZ Senior Leadership Team. 

This role demands a leader with profound expertise in accounting, FP&A, strategic decision-making, and risk management, coupled with strong commercial acumen and a hands-on approach.

You will…

  • Lead and Inspire: Manage a high-performing finance team of 25+ professionals (including FP&A, Accounting, AR, AP, Tax, Compliance, Merchant Payments). As a role model of HelloFresh’s values, you’ll inspire the wider ANZ team of approximately 2,000 employees.
  • Financial Stewardship: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for one of the key entities within the HelloFresh Group, commensurate with our public company profile. Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards and locally required reporting obligations (e.g. financial statements, ASIC, IRD, ATO filings and more). Oversee ANZ relationships with key financial stakeholders (auditors, banks, tax authorities, lawyers, regulators) 
  • Strategic Partner: Collaborate with the ANZ leadership team to identify and prioritise commercial opportunities across the ANZ cluster. Develop a deep understanding of unit economics to drive complex strategic initiatives, ensuring well-informed decisions and appropriate risk management across the portfolio.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive best-in-class finance operations. Create value through unlocking efficiency opportunities across the organisation. Strengthen the overall control and governance framework.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with the finance leadership team, both locally and with our German head office, to set finance team priorities, refine ways of working, and support the achievement of business objectives and targets.
  • Empower Decision-Making: Partner with and empower functional leaders to continually enhance decision-making by providing access to reliable and timely financial and non-financial information.

You are...

  • A qualified (CA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) and experienced finance leader with 5+ years in a true finance leader role with end to end commercial exposure, responsibilities and influence with a number of direct and indirect reports
  • Engaging, personable and confident
  • Eager to get your hands dirty when needed. We are one team and no task is to senior or junior for you to contribute too
  • Approachable, fair and clear in your approach to management and have strong principles which you live and work by
  • An extremely fast learner with an innovative approach and an obsession for data and solving complex problems
  • Proactive; you take ownership of your work and think beyond the scope of a given assignment
  • Able to work autonomously and with limited direction
  • A strong stakeholder manager with the ability to influence and build strong relationships in a short period of time
