About the team:

Join Nintex’s Platform Shared Services team, where you'll play a key role in building and scaling core platform services that drive global innovation and deliver seamless user experiences for millions. This is your chance to design and implement foundational systems, including ALM, eventing, licensing, and collaboration tools, all while empowering product teams to innovate rapidly on a reliable, scalable foundation.

About the role:

The Shared Services team is crucial to the scalability, efficiency, and robustness of our SaaS platform. We develop and maintain core services, including deployment and packaging tools, events, license consumption, and collaboration tools, empowering our product teams to innovate rapidly on a reliable foundation. 

Your contribution will be:

• You suggest multiple viable design and architectural approaches for any given problem.
• You clearly communicate the risks, advantages, pros, and cons for each approach in design, architectural, and technical matters.
• You make good, fact-based and well-informed decisions around technical debt and trade-offs.
• You translate rough ideas into clear executable technical plans with discrete tasks.
• You find ways to deliver scope faster and facilitate prioritizing the backlog accordingly.
• You tackle technical debt proactively.
• You are a trusted resource for de-escalation of conflicts and build consensus between team members.
• You attend and contribute to team ceremonies and meetings (daily scrum meetings, planning meetings, demos, and development retrospective meetings).   
• You model expected behaviors in all ceremonies and meetings.
• You communicate progress to the team and delivery manager regularly and seek guidance when required.
• You regularly contribute new ideas and maintain focus on continual improvement.
• You are an active part of the incident management process, including on-call rotation and unblocking technical and operational decisions.
• You promote our culture through the Nintex tenets. 

To be successful, we think you need:  

• Experience in building and shipping software, preferably delivering multi-tenanted SaaS platforms.
• Experience of developing backend systems, with willingness to work on C#, .NET, Azure, Node.js, TypeScript.
• Proficiency in RESTful API design principles, API gateway/management tools, API documentation (Swagger/Open API), CI/CD, and observability.
• Understanding of architecture patterns and practices to build reliable, scalable, and secure cloud services.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure.
• Strong collaborator, willing to contribute to meaningful code reviews and design documents.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving industry standards.

What are the ‘nice to have’ skills? 

• Experience of shipping highly available services will be preferred
• Experience of working on event driven architecture at scale will be preferred
• Experience with Azure Service Bus, Key Vault, Storage, EventHub, etc.
• Experience in Kubernetes, Docker and containerized application development
