About this role:

We’re looking for a talented Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing Commercial Finance team, nestled within the Strategic Finance team. This team member will assist with, and eventually own, a dynamic and diverse set of responsibilities.  This function acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support ‘optimal’ business decision making. This position will support revenue for the entire Liftoff business and reports to the Manager of Commercial Finance.  In these challenging times, it is critical that this individual is self-motivated, a self-starter, can work independently with minimal supervision, and demonstrates good judgment & discretion.  This role requires strong business acumen, so this individual will need to have an interest in understanding the “why” behind financials and the core underlying business

Responsibilities:

  • Support quarterly sales and management target setting process by providing relevant financial data and analysis; highlighting areas of risks and opportunities for discussion with leadership 
  • Provide ongoing and ad-hoc reporting and analysis for the Executive, GTM, and Product organizations to support well-informed decision-making
  • Identify opportunities to enhance data integrity, automate reporting processes, and improve the efficiency of financial analysis workflows
  • Utilize data analytics tools and financial models to analyze revenue performance, identify trends, and uncover insights to support decision-making
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reporting tools, and data visualization for senior leadership to track and monitor KPIs, overall business health, and communicate insights
  • Support the preparation of executive/board-level presentations and reports to communicate financial performance and trends

Requirements: 

  • 5+ years experience in Finance
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Highly proficient in Excel / Sheets with strong modeling skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities to tackle complex financial challenges, identify opportunities for optimization, and drive strategic initiatives effectively
  • Understand complex data with the ability to present in a way that is easy to understand, including data visualization
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality in financial reporting and analysis
  • Proven track record of driving business results through financial insights, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration
Bonus:
  • Experience with FP&A/Corporate Planning tools (Adaptive, Host/Planful, Vena, etc)
  • Experience in Mobile App Marketing or Advertising Tech industry
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, or other comparable tools) 

 

 

Liftoff provides employees a total compensation package of competitive market salaries, equity, health and wellness stipends, medical benefits associated with your country of residence. The base compensation will vary based on location, experience as well as level. 

Liftoff offers all employees a full compensation package that includes equity and health/vision/dental benefits associated with your country of residence. Base compensation will vary based on candidate location and experience. The following are our base salary ranges for multiple levels:

SF Bay Area, NYC, Los Angeles/Orange County: $100,000 - $120,000Seattle/Olympia, Austin, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Boston: $90,000 - $110,000All other cities and towns in our approved states: $85,000 - $105,000
