Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

This person will be responsible for strategy, operational and policy recommendations related to the financial reporting function for Red Ventures. This includes internal and external financial reporting as well as technical accounting research and guidance. Ideal candidates will possess a fun, positive, energetic attitude and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. This position will have an immediate impact on Red Ventures and daily exposure to our executive leadership team.
What You'll Do
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial reporting package, similar to 10-Ks and 10-Qs, for distribution to internal and external stakeholders according to key deadlines
- Responsible for preparation of monthly and quarterly face financials and corresponding consolidations
- Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures over financial reporting
- Perform technical accounting research and compile position papers to document appropriate accounting treatment for any new transactions or accounting standards and draft corresponding footnotes
- Assist in proper cash flow classification for monthly transactions
- Recommend mapping assignments for new GL accounts and changes to mapping assignments
- Perform analytical procedures to assist in monthly validations and work with local and foreign accounting teams to ensure data accuracy
- Educate and partner with cross-functional business leaders to ensure understanding and application of various technical accounting matters, compliance with controls and new accounting standards
- Provide support to the external auditors including planning and monitoring interim and year-end audit calendars and coordination with business partners
- Complete journal entries and reconciliations as needed
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in Corporate Accounting/Financial Reporting and demonstrable success
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or CPA in progress preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong team player who can demonstrate ability to work in a cross functional environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional interpersonal communications skills
- Excellent communication, organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cross-functionally and maintain working relationships within the finance & accounting organization, including controllership, FP&A, general accounting, and treasury
- Possess a desire to build institutional knowledge and steep themselves in the company's values to drive culture
- Proficiency utilizing financial systems and reporting packages, Workday experience a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Compensation
- Cash Compensation Range: $70,000-110,000**Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
