Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Senior Healthcare Data Analyst to join our Healthcare Analytics Team in Plantation, FL. This role will partner directly with our Prescription Food & Treats (aka Vet Diet) and Health & Wellness category teams and provide data/insights that fuel strategic business initiatives, highlight opportunities to improve customer lifetime value, and optimize processes. This position will deliver punctual high-quality data, efficient and intuitive dashboards, actionable analyses, and data-driven strategic recommendations.

The ideal candidate brings a strong technical skill set (e.g. SQL, Tableau, Excel) and a demonstrated history of analyzing large data sets, building intuitive data visualizations, and presenting clear actionable insights that drive quantifiable business impact. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required as this role will lead analyses and interface directly with partners on both business and technical teams.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop a strong working relationship with Category Management partners and a deep understanding of their key business metrics, levers, strategies, and goals.
  • Gather requirements and translate complex business problems into specific questions that can be answered through data-driven analyses.
  • Lead analyses that explain business trends, evaluate the impact of strategic promotions, optimize product assortment, and produce actionable recommendations for leadership.
  • Communicate findings with a clear point of view and compelling data visualizations.
  • Develop insightful and intuitive self-service reporting/dashboards leveraging multiple data sources.
  • Partner with Analytics and Data Engineering teams to establish technical requirements, develop/QA new data sources, and promote data quality/governance across the organization.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Economics, Math, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science or other related field with an analytical emphasis).
  • 2+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or other related field.
  • Demonstrated background working directly with partners on both business and technical teams to gather/validate requirements and produce actionable analyses, reporting, and dashboards.
  • Proven experience delivering high quality results on tight timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced technical skills in Excel, SQL, and business intelligence tools.
  • Working understanding of data and metrics related to e-commerce and financial P&L statements.
  • Working understanding of data warehousing and database architecture.
  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time).

Bonus (if applicable):

  • Advanced technical skills using Python, R, or other advanced analytics applications.
  • Masters or equivalent advanced academic degree.
