Senior Manager, Finance Systems Engineering
Fastly's Finance Business Systems (FinSys) team seeks a Senior Manager, Finance Systems Engineering to lead Development and Operations teams (DevOps). This role will support Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Legal, and Back Office systems and requires hands-on technical experience in NetSuite (SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk), Coupa, Workato, Analytics, and Reporting.
Additionally, a deep understanding of finance processes, such as Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P), Record to Report (R2R), and Subscription and Usage Billing, is essential. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise with leadership skills to manage a high-performing engineering team, implement scalable solutions, and align technology with business goals.
What You'll Do:
- Technical Leadership:
- Architect, develop, and maintain solutions within NetSuite using SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk, SuiteAnalytics and other emerging NetSuite tools and technologies
- Design and implement configurations in Coupa to enhance the systems functionality, support the user asks and integrations between NetSuite, Coupa, Billing System and other business-critical platforms using Workato Integrations tool
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring system performance and scalability
- Lead the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies to enhance system capabilities
- Engineering, Development:
- Oversee end-to-end development of custom scripts, workflows, and integrations within NetSuite
- Manage data migrations, configurations, and upgrades while minimizing disruptions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy automated solutions for finance processes
- Systems Implementation & Management:
- Lead and oversee implementations, upgrades, and optimizations for NetSuite, Coupa, Aria Billing Platforms. In addition to that, experience in CLM Implementation will be a plus
- Ensure system integrations align with business objectives and maintain data accuracy across platforms
- The job includes on-call support
- Domain Experience:
- Must have a very good understanding of the following end-to-end processes:
- Order to Cash (O2C)
- Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
- Record to Report (R2R)
- Subscription and Usage Billing
- IT SOX Compliance
- Must have a very good understanding of the following end-to-end processes:
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with Finance, IT, Product, Engineering and Business stakeholders to ensure systems meet operational and compliance requirements
- Communicate system updates, project progress, and key decisions effectively to senior leadership
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure financial systems comply with internal controls and regulatory requirements (SOX IT General Controls)
- Develop and maintain documentation for key processes and system configurations
- Strategic Planning:
- Provide input into the organization’s strategic roadmap for finance systems and technology
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions
What We're Looking For:
- Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in finance systems engineering, development with extensive hands-on NetSuite, Coupa, Workato, Subscription and Usage Billing System and related finance systems
- Proven success in implementing and managing NetSuite, Coupa, Finance Reporting systems, with a focus on scripting, automation and integrations using Workato or similar tools
- Familiarity with reporting, data analysis and visualization tools is a plus
- Strong domain knowledge of Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P), Record to Report (R2R). Knowledge of Subscription and Usage Billing Systems is a must
- Leadership:
- At least 5 years of experience managing and developing teams in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field (relevant certifications preferred)
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving capabilities with a strategic mindset

Extensive Engineering Development Experience in these systems and certifications to support that: NetSuite, Coupa, Aria (or any other Subscription, Usage) Billing System, Workato, BigQuery, SQL Query, JIRA, Agile, SOAP, Rest APIs, etc.

This position will require you to be available during core business hours [Pacific Time] as well as an on-call rotation on weekends and holidays as needed.

Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home. The expectation is that the person is available on-site on Tuesday and Thursday and any additional days as needed.

Salary:
The estimated salary range for this position is $211,370 to $253,644.
Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
