Senior Manager, Payments Optimization

We are seeking a highly motivated leader to join the Toast Payments team and play a key role in our continued growth and making data-driven improvements. The Payments Optimization, Senior Manager will be responsible for identifying and providing valuable insights in payment processing optimization and driving improvement, both internally to Toast and for our customers. Toast processes billions of dollars every year and this role will drive high impact decision-making through analysis, reporting and strategic guidance. This role will have substantial leadership exposure and deep partnerships with Strategic Finance, Business Intelligence, Product, Strategic Alliances, Operations and New Ventures. About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Keep a firm pulse on the acquiring industry and be the go-to expert on interchange and network programs
- Oversee monitoring and drive insights into payment processing costs in near real-time, in partnership with Product, Engineering, BI, Strategic Finance, Data Science and Payment Operations teams
- Define core data sets and schemas, as well as visualizing and tracking key metrics
- Run impactful inferential analyses and data investigations to identify recurring patterns, root causes, and propose actionable solutions
- Design and interpreting experiments to measure the impact of new Fintech offerings by Toast
- Communicate analyses and data-backed recommendations to stakeholders
- Experience leveraging data insights into storytelling for business stakeholders
- Work with large and complex data sets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using different analytical and statistical approaches
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 7+ years of relevant experience in Analytics
- Experience and strong interest in complex payment processing implementations
- Experience with complex data analysis using SQL, dash-boarding using Looker / Tableau (or) other visualization tools
- Sharp analytical skills and attention to detail-ability to dig into large amounts of data and distill actionable insights
- Ability to work with and navigate cross-functional and global teams
- Strategic thinking skills with ability to put complex ideas into clear frameworks
- Ability to balance getting things done with platform stability
Special Sauce* (Nonessential Skills)
- Experience with a statistical programming language (e.g. R, Python)
- Masters degree in Analytics

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions if eligible), equity, and benefits.Pay Range$138,000—$221,000 USD
