We are seeking a Senior Manager, Strategic PMO to lead a team of Project Managers and oversee a portfolio of high-impact projects aimed at enhancing business performance, enabling product innovation, and transforming operational capabilities. You will take ownership of overall portfolio performance and management, including resourcing, planning, reporting, and governance. You will work directly with executive leadership to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and play a dual role as a project manager within the portfolio, overseeing end-to-end management of key initiatives and driving impactful outcomes.

  • Portfolio Oversight: Oversee the entire portfolio of initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, and offer hands-on guidance as necessary for the successful end-to-end execution of initiatives
  • Team Leadership and Management: Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers, ensuring accountability for performance and providing robust support throughout the project delivery lifecycle. Direct the development of comprehensive project proposals, charters, plans, schedules, resource plans, business plans, and performance metrics, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Project & Program Delivery: Oversee and manage the end-to-end execution of high complexity projects and/or programs with high impact within HelloFresh Canada. Manage cross-functional stakeholders to collect their inputs and ensure their commitment in your project and its timely delivery
  • Problem Solving & Decision Recommendations: Address complex problems across multiple business areas, utilizing technical problem-solving skills to analyze and present data for providing well-founded recommendations to senior leadership, facilitating informed decision-making
  • Stakeholder Consultation: Act as a sounding board to key business leaders, addressing emerging challenges, and analyzing key issues to provide well-founded recommendations for informed decision-making.
  • Project Documentation & Progress Tracking: Establish and maintain robust project documentation and systems for reporting project and portfolio progress and outcomes. 
  • Champion Project Management Best Practices: Coach and educate stakeholders on project management tools and methodology, especially when stakeholders manage their own projects within a program overseen by the Senior Manager.
  • All other duties, as assigned

  • 5+ years of project management experience, with demonstrated capability in handling highly complex programs with significant impact and multiple dependencies
  • Experience managing direct reports and/or project resources within a team setting
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain and operations
  • Strategic Vision: Possess a strategic mindset with the ability to align project initiatives with broader organizational goals and objectives.
  • Methodical Problem Solver: Showcases creativity and resourcefulness in addressing challenges, offering innovative solutions to complex problems. Demonstrates a strong grasp of relevant theories, applying them strategically for effective problem resolution
  • Effective Coach: Proven ability to guide and mentor Project Managers, fostering continuous learning and skill development to elevate team capabilities.
  • Quick Learner: An exceptional learner, able to work within multiple programs, processes, and deliverables and find the right solution to every problem
  • Influential Leadership: Ability to inspire and influence team members, stakeholders, and key business leaders to foster collaboration and commitment to project goals.
  • High Autonomy: Ability to work independently with a highly structured and conscientious approach, while fostering effective collaboration across diverse teams and seniority levels
  • Strong Communicator: Exhibit strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex ideas and strategies to diverse audiences.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Embraces a growth mindset, prioritizing the team's reputation and goals with utmost dedication.
  • Continuous Improvement Champion: Champions continuous improvement and adaptable to business requirements
  • Quality Focus: Passionate about delivering exceptional results with obsessive attention to detail, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all aspects of the work.
  • High proficiency in utilizing structured problem-solving methodologies and technical analysis approaches to investigate and resolve complex issues
  • Bachelor’s Degree in in Business, Management, Engineering, Computer Science or related fields
  • Proficiency in both waterfall and agile project management methodologies. PMP and Agile Scrum Master certification are pluses
  • Lean Six Sigma, software development, database principles and knowledge and experience preferred
