The Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing leads the procurement team’s initiatives surrounding the launch of new production or distribution sites and manages the prioritization and execution of the strategic project roadmap for the procurement team. This role will play a key role in initiatives to unlock additional production capacity, launch new categories of products, increase supply resiliency, drive cost savings, and improve our product specifications. We are looking for an experienced project manager with deep analytical skills, who is able to think strategically about a diverse set of opportunities. 

You’ll work closely with our sourcing team and partner with operations, product, food safety and quality, culinary, and finance teams to drive projects forward. You are a hands-on project manager who is experienced with driving change across an organization, with a focus on impact and action.

You will … 
  • Develop and execute a playbook for new site launches, setting supplier network targets with our sourcing team and managing execution and launch
  • Develop and execute a project plan for the launch of new types of products across all brands, working closely with cross-functional partners and sourcing category managers to align on scope and project milestones
  • Manage the prioritization and tracking of all procurement strategic projects, ensuring project owners continue to meet targeted milestones and impact
  • Lead key initiatives that span multiple product categories, such as the launch of private labels and alignment of supplier payment terms

You have… 
  • Total of 5-6+ years of experience in food or beverage research and development
  • An advanced degree in food science or a related field is a plus
  • A successful track record of product innovation and leadership in a cross-functional stage gate process
  • Experience managing test kitchen operations and preparing samples and documentation for showings or evaluations
  • Strong quantitative and analytical experience (either through education or professional experience), including expertise with G-Suite, Excel and procurement systems
  • Experience managing and leading a team of direct and indirect reports
  • Flexibility to travel (up to 10%)
  • Flexibility to work weekends when required (2-3 times per quarter)
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications

New York Pay Range$116,250—$155,000 USD
