Senior Manager, Supplier Desk and Partner Advocacy
Wayfair is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our North America and EU Supplier Desk and Partner Advocacy Teams. We are looking for a team leader with a creative mindset towards driving results through data with a technical aptitude, and a desire to drive scalable strategic advancements at Wayfair. The ideal candidate must be highly adaptable, hands-on, comfortable in a fast-paced and rapidly growing company and have the ability to work across the global organization. The Global Partner Desk offers support to NA and EU-based suppliers on any tactical topic.
About the Team:
The team consists of a Tail Supplier Desk, a Head Supplier Desk, and a Partner Advocacy team. The Desk teams support inbound from suppliers on tactical questions, supplier education opportunities, and problem-solving some of the most challenging supplier issues. They partner closely with Category Management, Global Partner Support, Merchandising and Finance Journey teams to solve day-to-day Supplier questions. The Partner Advocacy team is a portfolio-based team of experts who manage the most challenging supplier problems and offers a White Glove Service to Wayfair's most important suppliers. They work cross-functionally with CM, Tech, and other execution teams to get to the bottom of the issue and find a permanent solution.
What You'll Do
- Set the agenda for continued evolution of the Desk and PAT teams and drive process improvements within the team and through each supplier journey.
- Work with Category Management teams in NA and EU to align coverage and portfolio plans, making adjustments as needed.
- Lead a team of Contractors, Associates and Managers across North America, Europe, and at our Outsource Partners in Asia who support our growing supplier base.
- Build out key metrics and drive performance, delivering Best In Class supplier experiences in a cost effective manner.
- Define and communicate a 6-12 month work plan, identifying opportunities to drive measure impact across broader KPIs and OKRs. Own or champion OKRs relevant to the Desk and PAT agenda.
- Identify opportunities through a combination of data driven analysis and observations, partnering with the GPS Create teams and other stakeholders (such as Merch or Finance) to solve the biggest supplier pain points.
- Build strong partnerships and collaboration with leaders and stakeholders to enable consistency in programs with peers.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- 5+ years of experience in Operations, people management, and leadership.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong presentation skills to all levels of management.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and synthesize multiple points of view into a streamlined story and action plan.
- Experience in taking a company forward in a fast-growth environment, providing insight for direction, and managing change effectively.
An Important Note about Wayfair's In-Office Policy:
- All Boston-based interns, Co-ops, and corporate employees will be in office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office on designated days, Monday - Thursday, and work remotely Friday.
