Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Senior Manager, Merchandising Analytics to join our Merchandising Team based in Bellevue, WA. In this role, you will partner directly with the senior leadership of our international team to influence strategies across the business. You will also partner with cross-functional teams on building and rolling out analyses, tools and insights.

The ideal candidate demonstrates exemplary skills analyzing large data sets, partnering with business stakeholders, and turning analyses into actionable insights. This individual is highly proficient in developing and executing cross-functional project plans while being able to operate with minimal direction from leadership. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required as this role will lead analyses, share findings with business teams, and drive strategies that promote favorable financial and customer experience outcomes.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead development of best-in-class measurement frameworks for evaluating assortment, promotions effectiveness, improving financial performance and customer experience metrics
  • Drive adoption of newly available datasets into use through integration into different analyses
  • Increase visibility of opportunities and risks through proactive identification and communication to business partners
  • Deliver clear data driven insights in both verbal and written form
  • Program manage cross-functional initiatives which require development of data products and driving accountability across International

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Math, Statistics, Economics or a related degree with analytics and quantitative emphasis. 
  • Minimum 6 years of related work experience analyzing data and delivering business insights.
  • Strong leadership skills with minimum of 3 years managing analysts or data engineers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to translate analyses into business actions.
  • Advanced Excel skills (data connections, complex formulas, pivot tables; VBA is a nice-to-have).
  • Strong data visualization skills using software such as Tableau or complementary visualization tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • High degree of proficiency interpreting business metrics, executing complex analyses, and connecting multiple data sources to explain business performance.
  • Proven experience independently managing cross-functional projects, delivering results on tight timelines.
  • Familiarity with Ecommerce pricing, assortment, fulfillment, and inventory management strategies.
  • Thorough understanding of Financial KPIs, P&L statement, and assortment management metrics.
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguous environments with speed and commitment.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Bonus:

  • Ecommerce or Retail experience leading assortment and inventory management strategies.
  • Masters or equivalent advanced academic degree.
  • Project Management Certification.
  • Advanced technical skills using R, Python, or other programming languages.
  • Data modeling experience in Merchandising, Finance, Retail/Ecommerce.

Compensation & Benefits:

Our pay range for a Senior Merchandising Analytics Manager position is $129,500.00 - $207,000.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Non-exempt hourly team members accrue paid time off (PTO) while salaried-exempt team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Non-exempt hourly team members in Fulfillment Centers and Customer Service are also eligible for additional unplanned unpaid time off (UTO). Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
