Our Opportunity:

We are looking for a Senior Merchandising Data Analyst at our facility in Boston, Massachusetts within the Merchandising Analytics Team, to directly support our function and build and maintain core reporting tools to drive continuous improvements in business decision making processes and analyzing Merchandising data sets to address complex problems.

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Partner with analytics and business stakeholders to analyze assortment performance, promotions effectiveness, and financial performance of Merchandising segments such as categories, brands, vendors, and SKUs.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain standardized business reporting such as weekly business reviews.
  • Gather requirements to lead development and creation of insightful and intuitive Tableau dashboards using multiple data sources, parameters, and measures.
  • Independently evaluate analytics processes and reporting tools with a goal of continuously improving data availability and scalability.
  • Independently partner where appropriate with analytics, data engineering, and BI teams to develop and QA new data tables and data sources across multiple platforms.
  • Approximately 20% domestic travel required.

 

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience.
  • 2 years of experience in the following:
  • Experience in a business systems or merchandising analytics capacity as a subject-matter expert;
  • SQL;
  • Data visualization skills using Tableau or equivalent data visualization tool;
  • Financial KPIs and P&L statement;
  • Statistics and development of KPIs to measure business performance;
  • E-commerce pricing, assortment, fulfillment, and inventory management strategies;
  • Executing complex and large-scale data analyses across millions of records;
  • Data warehousing and relational or columnar database structure; and
  • Creating mechanisms to monitor data integrity.
  • Approximately 20% domestic travel required.
