About the role:
In this position, you will be part of the Finance & Accounting Team, reporting to our Payroll Manager. You will work closely with the HR Team and be responsible for accurate and timely payroll delivery across multiple locations. This role provides support to the Finance Team, HR Team, Employees, and external parties on payroll related queries.
Your contribution will be:
- Responsible for end-to-end payroll cycle for the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Egypt, and South Africa.
- Additional support as need for payroll payrolls in AMER or APAC regions.
- Depending on location, process payroll in-house or work with external payroll providers and HR organization to deliver monthly and/or semi-monthly, multi-state payrolls
- Manage payroll taxes, superannuation, pensions, workers compensation reporting and employee benefits/reconciliations.
- Manage year-end payroll reporting & payroll statutory fillings (including P11D, PSA, P60s, EMP501s, IRP5s, COIDA, etc.)
- Manage leave systems
- Manage payroll on-boarding & off-boarding of employees
- Liaise with HR team regarding new hires, terminations, leaves, remuneration and conditions of service including interpreting awards/agreements in relation to tax, allowances and other pay and benefit components
- Handle employee queries and escalations
- Manage all payroll-related journal entries for processing in our accounting system
- Manage payroll-related accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Review payroll month end pack for allocated regions.
- Work with Finance & Accounting team on payroll related analyses for budgeting and reporting
To be successful, we think you need:
- At least 5 years’ experience in processing payroll, preferably for a global company
- Expertise in payroll processing, as well as payroll tax legislation and practices.
- Expertise in processing payroll in-house on UKG
- Advanced experience in payroll accounting, including payroll journals and accruals.
- Experience with international payrolls, including payroll processing via third party payroll providers
- High integrity, discretion, and attention to detail.
- Experience in high growth & Scaling tech environments
- Outstanding analytical, problem solving, communication & prioritization skills
