About the Role
This is a hybrid role based out of our San Francisco office. Mixpanel’s People Team focuses on attracting, developing, and retaining premier talent. As a Senior People Partner, you will work closely with senior business leaders and be instrumental in providing strategic and tactical HR consultation to optimize people, processes, programs, and culture to drive business results. Emphasizing our people and enabling individuals and teams of all backgrounds to reach their full potential is a critical component of Mixpanel’s success.
This role will report to the VP of People, and work as an embedded piece of the global Engineering, Product, Design and G&A organizations, partnering with the leadership team and People functions to provide a best-in-class employee lifecycle for all Mixpanelers!
The ideal candidate is an experienced consultant with a broad understanding of all areas of HR. You will have experience influencing leaders in a fast-paced environment and the interpersonal savvy required to drive human resource strategies and programs in a global workforce.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary People Business Partner for Mixpanel’s EPD and G&A teams
- Build strong relationships with department leaders and influence strategic people decisions that support team effectiveness and organizational growth
- Lead workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, and organizational design initiatives within the EPD and G&A teams
- Partner with leadership to drive performance management, employee engagement, and feedback cycles within their teams
- Coach leaders through complex employee relations and change management matters with thoughtfulness and compliance in mind
- Work on all aspects of change management, from strategy and design to implementation and communications
- Analyze people data to identify trends and offer actionable recommendations aligned with business objectives
- Collaborate closely with peers in Total Rewards, Recruiting, L&D, and DEIB to ensure a cohesive employee experience
- Support career pathing, leveling frameworks, and role clarity across technical and non-technical teams
- Investigate and resolve employee relations matters in a way that balances company, internal, and external stakeholder considerations
- Drive high-impact programs that support culture, belonging, and employee development
- Champion and embed Mixpanel’s values across all touchpoints of the employee lifecycle
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
- BA or equivalent work experience with an average of 4+ years in a People Partner role, preferably supporting EPD.
- Deep functional experience in two or more areas preferred, e.g., talent management/acquisition, compensation, employee relations, employee experience, organizational development, immigration, training, etc.
- Strong organizational skills, strong proofreading skills with attention to detail, and a self-starter; proficiency with G-Suite.
- Strong analytical and project management skills, proven ability to design transparent processes, and a detail-oriented yet flexible approach to problem-solving.
- Strong commercial acumen and deep empathy for individuals allowing you to resolve tricky people situations in a balanced and thoughtful way.
- Demonstrated success in consulting, negotiating, and coaching leaders.
- You are a skilled and effective communicator and collaborator with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- You are adaptable, agile, and resilient, and you embrace change, move quickly, and are highly resilient when things are ambiguous.

Compensation
The amount listed below is the total target cash compensation (TTCC) and includes base compensation and variable compensation in the form of either a company bonus or commissions. Variable compensation type is determined by your role and level. In addition to the cash compensation provided, this position is also eligible for equity consideration and other benefits including medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage. You can view our benefits offerings here.Our salary ranges are determined by role and level and are benchmarked to the SF Bay Area Technology data cut released by Radford, a global compensation database. The range displayed represents the minimum and maximum TTCC for new hire salaries for the position across all of our US locations. To stay on top of market conditions, we refresh our salary ranges twice a year so these ranges may change in the future. Within the range, individual pay is determined by experience, job-related skills, qualifications, and other factors.
