LogicMonitor’s InfoSec Team is the backbone of trust that our customers depend on day after day.  The Senior Platform Security Engineer gets to design, build, and manage the technical security controls for our cutting-edge infrastructure.  Partnering closely with our InfoSec, IT, and SRE Teams, the platform security engineer will build, deploy, and manage production security tools and services to monitor cloud workloads, endpoints, and networks.

Here's a closer look at this key role:

  • Standardizing Azure/GCP and/or AWS Security Best practices, processes, and procedures.
  • Discover, remediate and validate security issues across cloud infrastructure per industry standard information security policies
  • Build, deploy, and manage production security tools and services to monitor networks, endpoints, and cloud workloads
  • Design and operate scalable processes to provision cloud access and maintain least-privilege
  • Maintain a reliable, easy to use and low-touch infrastructure using technologies such as Terraform, Kubernetes, and immutable images
  • Assess and improve endpoint security strategy through prioritization and recommendations
  • Communicate security concerns, potential impact, and propose solutions to address security gaps and weaknesses
  • Understand, design, and develop vulnerability mitigation strategies, prioritize identified vulnerabilities, and manage risk associated with vulnerabilities.
  • Establish and drive metrics, analytics, reporting, and a roadmap for continual program improvement.
  • Author vulnerability management guidelines, processes, policies, and standards.
  • Continually improve awareness of the latest technology trends, mainly as they apply to vulnerability management and technologies used within the company.
  • Maintain awareness of new and upcoming vulnerabilities and coordinate across teams to determine the impact.
  • Participate in impact assessments to help define prioritization and proper monitoring coverage.
What You'll Need:
  • 5+ years experience in Network, System and IT security

  • Strong foundational knowledge across Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and/or Amazon AWS technology stack.
  • Strong background in Linux/Unix operating systems, containerized workloads (ie Kubernetes), applications, and networking
  • Outstanding collaboration and partnership skills, with proven ability to drive results across teams.
