For nearly 40 years, Naughty Dog has been crafting best-selling, critically acclaimed games that constantly push the boundaries of narrative, gameplay, and technology. Naughty Dog recently released The Last of Us Part II Remastered as well as a current generation remake of The Last of Us Part I for the PS5 . We're also proud to say that The Last of Us Part I is now available for the first time on PC. Currently, we’re busy at the kennel working on a brand-new single player game that we're excited about, and we'd love to find talented individuals to join us.

Naughty Dog games have long been lauded for their evocative, character-driven stories and attention to detail. We are committed to innovation within our games and as such have curated some of the top creative and technically innovative minds in the industry. We welcome diverse candidates and believe that a broad range of cultural and life experiences contribute to the overall well-being and success of the studio and the titles we craft together.

In service of these goals, Naughty Dog is growing our production team!

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Producer to join us in the studio and elevate our team’s capabilities. We are looking for the right candidate to get in early and help define the processes, requirements, and infrastructure that will support the project through launch and beyond.  In this role you’ll have a significant impact on the way we work, both within the game team and production team, by leveling up the skills we apply to the production of our games as well as the structures we work within.

On the game team side, you’ll partner with leads and directors to understand their needs.  You’ll develop processes to improve communication, scheduling, and overall quality of life; all while developing the kind of ground-breaking video games we're famous for. You’ll build relationships with our partners at Sony, gather data from the best in the industry, and be instrumental in building the best plan we can – together.

Our ideal candidate is someone with a deep understanding of the complexities of game development and a track record of building, streamlining and executing processes to help the team achieve their highest potential. You'll bring your organizational skills, understanding of communication pipelines, leadership experience, and passion for making games - and above all, your empathy to inspire the team and rally support for our shared vision!

What you will do:

  • Work with production leadership, design teams and project leadership to ensure clear information flows within your assigned pipelines
  • Responsible for broad high-impact initiatives and deliverables
  • Build and maintain project or initiative plans, schedules, and roadmaps. Ensure the team is on track with their goals
  • Communicate frequently and effectively with key collaborators on project status, risks, and opportunities
  • Contribute and drive the development and refinement of our shared production processes to increase studio efficiency and quality
  • Ensure cross-department visibility is clear and dependencies are properly tracked. Ensure the impact of scope changes is understood, and the ramifications are clearly communicated
  • Responsible for broad high impact initiatives and deliverables
  • Establishing best practices across production department
  • Creating workflows shared across the full project and studio
  • Serve as a mentor and provide leadership, information, and resources to team members
  • Improve the processes used by the production team to ensure our own effectiveness and workload balance
  • Work with the tools team to advance the development of our production-related software

What skills you will use:

  • Solid understanding of video game development, software development processes, and project management practices
  • 6+ years’ experience in a production role where you've supported cross-functional teams in the creation of AAA projects including 2+ shipped titles.
  • Self-starter with team orientation. Approach challenges creatively and methodically, seeing them through to final resolution while providing visibility and creating alignment with Lead Producer, Production Director, and key stakeholders.
  • Experience mentoring and supporting efficiency within production department
  • Expertise in common Production methodologies as well as tracking software (Jira, ShotGrid, Excel, Microsoft Project, Confluence, or equivalents)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, on both a personal and team level
