The Growth Team

The Growth team is on a mission to elevate a developer-focused go-to-market motion including onboarding experience, pricing & packaging options, and nurtured pathways to higher stickiness and longer term retention. This team ensures we make the most of every customer signup by crafting a meaningful, trustworthy and supportive first impression. Our Growth team is highly cross-functional and hyper-focused on data. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify growth opportunities to improve conversion rates, drive greater adoption, and support successful onboarding.

The Senior Product Designer Opportunity

You will join a distributed and diverse Design team that champions a high trust and inclusive team culture. Through research, creative exploration and thoughtful critiques our design team places a strong emphasis on creating top tier experiences for our customers. You’ll also play a key role in defining processes, teaching best practices, and elevating the craft bar across the entire Developer Experience Design team, both by mentoring other designers and by being a thought partner with the design manager. We are looking for someone who is naturally curious and keen to take initiative.

What you’ll be doing 

  • Work cross-functionally with Product Managers and Engineers, prioritizing features and improvements, facilitating design discussions, and exchanging feedback for growth-owned surfaces.
  • Work with product and engineering to influence the roadmap for the Growth team at Okta CIC. This involves facilitating brainstorming sessions and workshops.
  • Build a deep understanding of our core customers.
  • Leverage both qualitative and quantitative data to make design decisions.
  • Transform challenging workflows into simple, usable, and elegant experiences for developers.
  • Share work early and often and seek out constructive feedback from peers, product teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Iterate on solutions based on direct and indirect stakeholder feedback.
  • Work together with designers on other product teams to keep work consistent, improve quality, contribute to our team processes and principles.
  • Work closely with designers and engineers to develop and expand our product design system. 

What you’ll bring to the role

  • 4+ years of experience as a Product Designer or similar role, with a focus on growth-oriented projects.
  • Have experience in running experiments.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your ability to drive business objectives with your designs for developer-oriented products or B2B SaaS projects.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Can distill complex problems into precise, simple, and delightful solutions.

And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following! 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • Graphic/visual design background.

Below is the annual salary range for candidates located in Canada. Your actual salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, RRSP with a match, healthcare spending, telemedicine, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in Canada is between:$99,000—$143,000 CAD
