The Challenge

We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who will play a crucial role in speeding delivery to market. SDETs (Software Development Engineer in Test) will play a crucial role in the software development lifecycle by ensuring the quality, reliability, and efficiency of software releases through automated testing within a CI/CD pipeline. Your attention to detail, tenacity, creative problem-solving and forward thinking will impact the success of every product release. 

Your Mission

As a Senior SDET, you will: 

  • The SDET is responsible for adding, maintaining, and updating scripts in existing automation suite, helping with running the suite across various checkpoints within the release cycle.  
  • As a Senior SDET, you will Develop and maintain automated test scripts for various stages of the CI/CD pipeline, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests. 
  • Implement and execute automated test suites to validate code changes and ensure software quality. 
  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous and efficient testing. 
  • Ensure the seamless flow of code through various stages of the CI/CD pipeline, from development to production. 
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to the CI/CD pipeline to ensure smooth execution of automated tests. 
  •  Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution using bug tracking tools. 
  • Generate test reports and provide feedback to the development team on the quality of the software. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps engineers, Cloud Operations, and QE (Quality Engineering) to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software. 
  • Continuously iterate to improve the robustness and effectiveness of the automated tests within development pipelines with high pass percentages in optimum time.  
  • Continuously iterate on keeping the test scripts portable and scalable  
  • Keep the automated tests clean and healthy, allowing teams to depend on these test results. 
  • Deprecate noisy and irrelevant tests· Ruthlessly focus on continuous improvement and use every opportunity to provide the right levels of automation. 
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends related to CI/CD and test automation. 
You Are
  • You are someone who understands CI/CD paradigm and is ready to play a pivotal role in ensuring the rapid and reliable delivery of high-quality software in modern development environments. You will work alongside Quality Engineering, Developers, and DevOps to build UI/E2E tests. You are someone with strong technical acumen, especially Java fundamentals. You can contribute to the framework for new actions.  
Your Experience Includes 
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical or business field.   
  • 5+ years of full software development lifecycle or 4+ years of experience working as an automation engineer or SDET.   
  • 2+ years working with an enterprise product in an Agile CI/CD like environment. 
  • 2+ years of experience in cloud application development (Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon Web Services)  
  • 2+ years of experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Circle CI, or Azure DevOps 
  • 2+ years of experience with Selenium for automating UI (User Interface) of the application.   
  • 2+ years of experience contributing to Test-Driven Development or BDD (Behavior Driven Development) with tools like Cucumber, Junit, Mockito, or TestNG.   
  • 2 years of understanding APIs and automation using tools like Postman, SOAP, or REST Assured.  
  • 1+ years of experience in working with observability tools like Splunk, Kibana or Coralogix with the ability to mine appropriate logs. 
  • Knowledge of Core Java, REST, and the Spring ecosystem.  
  • 2+ years of experience with source control tools such as Bitbucket, GitHub or GitLab. 
  • Familiarity with Confluence and defect management tools like JIRA.  
Extra Awesome
  • Familiarity with cloud-based applications with preference to Azure. 
  • Experience in testing native mobile apps either on physical devices or over cloud systems like Sauce Labs or BrowserStack. 
  • Knowledge of Core Java, REST, and the Spring ecosystem. 
  • Working knowledge of Contract based testing for API automation. 
  • Experience in analyzing the CPU Utilization, Memory usage, Network usage, Garbage Collection and DB Parameters and DB Reports to verify the performance of the applications. 

For California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington-based candidates: the annual base pay range for this role is listed below. Within this range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including location, job-related skills, work experience, and relevant education and/or training. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, equity, and/or commissions, as well as benefits.
