THE ROLE
The Senior Revenue Accounting Analyst plays a pivotal role in overseeing monthly and quarterly close activities related to revenue, including the execution of revenue-related SOX controls. This position is also responsible for performing day to day transactional data reviews and operating billing tasks via Zuora & NetSuite as well as preparing management reports. The role will interface cross-functionally with Sales Operations, Monetization & Deal Desk, Legal, Supply Chain Operations, Internal & External Audit, and Product Management.
We are seeking a high-energy, hands-on revenue accounting professional who can work independently and apply strong critical thinking skills. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the company’s revenue accounting processes, drive efficiency improvements, and partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Execute monthly revenue close activities, including revenue allocation calculations, journal entry preparation, reconciliations, control execution, and preparation and review of auditable workpapers.
- Ensure revenue recognition in financial statements is compliant with US GAAP (ASC 606).
- Interpret revenue arrangements, assess and summarize accounting implications, and document conclusions in accordance with ASC 606.
- Support quarterly reporting requirements, including preparation of materials for CAO/CFO quarterly readouts.
- Execute SOX controls related to revenue recognition, including documentation and evidence retention, and partner with Internal and External Audit to support walkthroughs, testing, and control enhancements.
- Monitor daily revenue transactions and review non-standard requests, including assessment of payment terms, return rights, and other contractual provisions.
- Review customer contract terms, provide proactive accounting guidance, and approve final contract documents as needed.
- Support process, policy, and system enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Assist in developing and maintaining process documentation for revenue close procedures.
- Contribute to ad hoc, company or department level projects and cross-functional initiatives as required.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 4–6 years of relevant revenue accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a public company environment.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
- Experience accounting for complex, multi-element arrangements, including hardware, software, SaaS subscriptions, and professional services.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with a high level of attention to detail and business acumen.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience executing and/or owning SOX controls in a public company environment.
- Experience with Zuora Billing & Zuora Revenue including product catalog configuration, complex amendments, billing operations, and revenue recognition under ASC 606. The ideal candidate can troubleshoot integrations, reconcile subledger to GL, support period close activities, and ensure accurate billing, revenue allocation, and reporting.
- Experience building or enhancing Alteryx workflows for revenue reporting or reconciliations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate transactions from both accounting and economic perspectives.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple levels, functions, and locations.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with NetSuite, SFDC, SQL, and Tableau.
- Practical experience implementing revenue recognition practices in compliance with ASC 606 and US GAAP.
- Strong leadership capabilities and ability to self-progress initiatives and deliverables where ambiguity is present.
- Proactive, results-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
