Senior Salesforce Engineer
About the team:
We’re looking for a motivated Senior Salesforce Engineer who combines deep technical expertise with a passion for crafting scalable, high-quality solutions.
You will play a vital role in designing, developing, and maintaining advanced Salesforce solutions that drive our business forward. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse array of projects, ranging from complex custom developments using Apex and Lightning to integrating Salesforce with other systems. You will leverage your extensive knowledge of Salesforce platforms, object-oriented programming, and database management to deliver outstanding results.
You will work in a team of like-minded individuals, sharing your expertise and exchanging ideas with others. We expect you to be ready to take the lead in new initiatives, as well as contribute to existing projects within SumUp, depending on the company’s needs. You will collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure our Salesforce configurations are scalable, reusable, and aligned with Salesforce and industry best practices.

What you’ll do
- Design and implement pragmatic Salesforce solutions, utilizing Apex, Lightning Web Components, and other Salesforce technologies
- Develop and maintain scalable and efficient code, adhering to best practices and design patterns within the Salesforce ecosystem
- Integrate Salesforce with external systems and third-party applications, utilizing both Salesforce native tools and custom-built microservices
- Contribute to quality assurance processes, including writing and maintaining automated tests to ensure the reliability of solutions
- Actively participate in team meetings, code reviews, and collaborative design sessions, sharing knowledge and best practices with team members
- Collaborate globally with business and technical stakeholders
You’ll be great for this role if you have:
- 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce Developer or Consultant, working across companies of various sizes and stages (startups, SMBs, large corporations)
- Proven experience as a full-stack developer with a strong background in building web applications
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and experience with languages such as Java, Golang, or similar
- Proficiency in SOQL and SQL query languages
- Excellent stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a detail-oriented mindset and a focus on delivering high-quality solutions
- The ability to stay up-to-date with Salesforce releases, identify new features and improvements, and take the initiative to advise on or lead their implementation
- An energetic, positive attitude and comfort engaging with people at multiple levels in projects and meetings
- Experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment
- The ability to thrive in a complex work environment and enjoy working independently.
Any of the following would be considered a big plus:
- Experience with other Salesforce features and systems (Service Cloud, Community Cloud, Marketing Cloud) or integrated services (Web Services, Call Centers).
- Experience in Backend Development.
- Experience with databases, middleware, and ETL tools.
- Active participation in the Salesforce community.
