Senior Software Engineer - Audit Foundation
Airbnb was born in 2007 when two Hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 4 million Hosts who have welcomed more than 1 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, Hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way.
The Community You Will Join The Payments organization at Airbnb enables people anywhere in the world to frictionlessly exchange money with easy to use payments services. It is a core strategy to fulfill Airbnb’s mission to belong anywhere. We are building a world-class payments platform that moves billions of dollars, in 191 countries, with 75+ currencies, through a complex ecosystem of payments partners. We build and maintain our own in-house global payments platform because no solution exists with the global reach needed. As the platform grows we’ll be adding new payment partners, global licenses, compliance and regulation controls, and building new payment experiences for our guests and hosts. The Compliance organization, within Payments, ensures Airbnb is continuously compliant with all worldwide financial regulations across every transaction and for every participant on this platform. The Foundation organization within this group builds the critical platform architecture, tools, and frameworks to ensure that this can be done accurately, efficiently, and in real time for dozens of types of controls. The teams in the organization are highly autonomous and collaborative as they partner with other teams to provide a platform that can do this accurately and at scale. The Difference You Will Make The Auditing Foundation team builds the end-to-end data collection platform, monitoring system, and business rules to continuously verify our compliance controls and systems are functioning as expected. They support all domains and product initiatives across Sanctions, Know Your Customer, and Anti Money Laundering, with responsibility for rectifying a large backlog of underperforming legacy system controls and ensuring accurate monitoring is in place for all new product features on launch. A Typical Day- Deliver frameworks and platforms that are secure, efficient, mature and highly available that abstract away business complexity.
