The Attribution & Applications (A&A) team ingests and enriches attribution data that is a key component of Liftoff’s ML datasets and reporting systems. The team is responsible for keeping attribution systems current with industry privacy updates. They also create data applications. These tools help control traffic quality and manage campaigns.   Responsibilities:
  • Build and have end-to-end ownership of Liftoff's attribution systems, including data processing pipelines, and high-performance services.
  • Build a deep knowledge of data that Liftoff collects to influence ML and data-driven applications.
  • Partner with the product team to plan short and long term strategy
  • Contribute to an “engineering excellence” culture through state-of-the-art tools, risk-driven testing, explainable systems, and code review.
  • Leverage your expertise in Go, SQL, or other technologies to empower and mentor the engineering team - maximizing team velocity.
  • Join a nimble, consistently exemplary, and skilled engineering team.
Requirements:
  • Proven backend development expertise with clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
  • Solid core CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, architecting systems).
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to engineering excellence—balanced with pragmatic decision-making to ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborative mindset with the humility to seek and adopt the best solution, regardless of its origin.
  • Self-starter with a track record of independently driving projects from inception to completion.
  • Enthusiastic about designing and optimizing large-scale, distributed systems.
  • Eager to deepen and apply data science and machine learning skills in real-world applications.
  • B.S. in Computer Science (or equivalent) & 8+ years software engineering experience or M.S. in Computer Science (or equivalent) & 6+ years software engineering experience.
  • Brings a sense of curiosity, energy, and fun to the team.

Locations:

This role is eligible for full-time remote work in one of our entities/states and Canada: CA, CO, ID, IL, FL, GA, MA, MI, MN, MO, NJ, NV, NY, OR, PA, TX, UT, and WA.  

Travel Expectations:

We offer several opportunities for in-person team gatherings, including but not limited to project meetings, regional meetups, and company-wide events. We expect our employees to attend these gatherings at least once per quarter. These gatherings provide essential opportunities for collaboration, communication, and team building.

Compensation:

Liftoff offers all employees a full compensation package that includes equity and health/vision/dental benefits associated with your country of residence. Base compensation will vary based on the candidate's location and experience.

The following are our base salary ranges for this role: 

  • SF Bay Area, Los Angeles/Orange County, NYC, Seattle: $160,000 - $210,000
  • Austin, Denver, Portland, San Diego, Boston, other CA: $150,000 - $195,000
  • All other cities and towns in our approved states: $140,000 - $180,000
