GoFundMe’s Product & Technology team is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build and extend our NPO onboarding, reporting, and administrative experiences for the next phase of our business. The ideal candidate will bring complementary experience to a team responsible for full stack development and all phases of the SDLC, including creating all layers of the application from database through to the user interface, quality assurance, and site reliability responsibilities. We want to talk to you if you can see beyond the {brackets} and love transforming designs and mockups into highly-scalable, fault-tolerant products.

Candidates eligible for this role must reside in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The Job…

• Build and support tools and interfaces that improve the onboarding, reporting, and administrative experiences of NPO administrators working in the Classy stack
• Participate in the design and implementation of new solutions that support and contribute to our technical roadmap
• Analyze, design, and develop software that delivers clean, maintainable code within a large and established code base
• Collaborate closely with a large, cross-functional teams to address tech debt, improve quality, and improve developer efficiency
• Work across many technologies and tools to create holistic solutions to complex problems
• Within an Agile environment, work as part of a Scrum team and develop web-based software solutions
• Participate in a culture of continuous learning and excellence in software development processes and best practices

You… 

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with frontend and server-side, web-based technologies in a cloud-native environment
• Experience working with React, Node, TypeScript, and/or PHP
• Familiarity with AWS (EC2, ECS, Lambda, SNS, S3)
• Proficiency in schema design in relational or NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB)
• Experience with code versioning tools (Git/Bitbucket)
• Experience with automated build/test deployment environments
• Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to rapidly learn new concepts and technologies and clearly communicate complex ideas
• Ability to understand product requirements and translate them into technical subtasks
• A strong focus on quality, with the ability to evangelize and mentor team members on testing best practices
• Curiosity, eagerness to learn, humility, and strong collaboration skills

Preferred…

• Experience working with AWS cloud services (EC2, ECS, SQS, SNS, Lambda, Cloudwatch)
• Experience working with Jest
• Familiarity with denormalized data stores (Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Algolia, etc.) and working with the large data sets
• Experience with observability and logging tools and best practices
• Experience working with remote and/or offshore teams
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
