Responsible for building scalable and performant enterprise software. Work with product, legal, and business development teams to build solutions that power our liquidity services at scale. Design, develop, and modify computer applications to support the development of Ripple's products and technologies. Deliver scalable platform with an emphasis on resilience, observability, and agility. Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including software design, requirements gathering, and unit and integration testing. Analyze user needs to engineer software solutions, modify existing software, and improve software performance. Build foundational systems, services, and frameworks that allow users to focus on business logic. Develop frameworks to ensure the continued delivery of high-quality data and analysis to stakeholders. Monitor computer applications functioning to ensure specifications are met, and apply technical skills to troubleshoot and resolve the root cause of defects. Act as a technical subject matter expert, provide technical leadership, and share expertise with a growing team of engineers. Collaborate with teams across the organization, including product, design, and other technical operations teams regarding specific platform design and implementation.

Telecommuting permitted 100% per week – may live anywhere in the U.S. 

40 hrs./week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field plus 5 years of post-baccalaureate progressive software development experience; or a Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field plus 3 years of software development experience.

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in all of the following (which may be gained concurrently):

  • Building scalable and performant enterprise software; 
  • Building end-to-end software solutions; 
  • Java
  • Database technologies, including Postgres

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in all of the following (which may be gained concurrently):

  • Deploying and managing a continuous integration pipeline
  • Microservices
  • Cloud technologies, including AWS, GCP, Azure, or OpenShift
  • Docker

For positions that will be based in CA, the annual salary range for this position is below. Actual salaries may vary based on numerous factors including, among other things, an individual applicant’s experience and qualifications for the position. This range does not include equity or additional compensation, such as bonuses or commissions. CA Annual Base Salary Range$196,110—$198,000 USD
