The Social Content Producer at AKQA is a hybrid role combining hands-on line production experience with agency experience to create, manage and deliver high quality social content for campaigns. With at least 5 years experience in production along with some agency exposure, this role requires oversight of content creation from concepting through post production and delivery, working closely with creative, account, and production teams to ensure seamless execution of social media campaigns.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity and change, able to focus on the smallest detail as well as drive a team to project completion, keeping the big picture in sight.

This role is REMOTE. Candidates for this role must be able to work West Coast hours PST, domestic travel required on a bi-monthly (every other month) cadence.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Structure and scope a variety of content creation projects such as video shoots, photo shoots, audio recording, animation –experience working as a line producer preferred.
  • Produce assets for social channels, with knowledge of social best practices, and music licensing when needed. 
  • Source and manage influencer talent, reps, and/or agencies when applicable 
  • Source and manage best in class production partners when applicable 
  • Develop detailed and accurate production and post-production estimates, timelines and shooting schedules 
  • Source and book crew members, locations and equipment in various cities, ensuring that all resources meet the project’s budgetary and logistical needs 
  • Organize and manage casting/talent sourcing if required, including talent releases, scheduling and communication 
  • Work with Showbiz (or similar software) to actualize budgets, process expenses and oversee purchase orders 
  • Handle payroll processing, including timesheet collection, approvals and submission, ensuring timely payments to crew and contractors  
  • Work with cross-functional teams to accommodate rapid change and deliver work under tight deadlines 
  • Manage project financials to track status against budget and scope; provide regular budget updates to the executive producer, program manager and other key stakeholders, identifying potential risks or areas for savings 
  • Collaborate with clients as needed, providing updates on production progress and gathering feedback to inform content adjustments 
  • Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, agency standards, and client expectations, implementing quality control at each stage of production  

 

QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS

  • Minimum 5 years in content production, with a mix of agency and production experience.  
  • Strong background in project and budget management, crew sourcing, and on-site production coordination 
  • Proficiency in Showbiz or similar production budgeting software.  
  • Understanding of social media platforms and content formats, including platform-specific technical requirements 
  • Passion for the creative process and a desire, above all else, to deliver best in class work 
  • Proficiency with G Suite applications 
  • Interest in new media and emerging technology including AI 
  • Rigorous in organization and management, conscientious and adept in solving issues at all levels of a project 
  • Collaborative: With multiple stakeholders, communication and teamwork is critical 
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills one-on-one and in large groups, with the ability to communicate high-level concepts and overall business direction, organize information quickly and summarizing succinctly 
  • Possess a detailed understanding of usage and licensing models, and collaborate with Business Affairs  
  • Ability to inspire, support and understand the interplay between people, processes and systems. The candidate must have the ability to lead a team to a desired result 
  • Willingness to travel domestically bi-monthly (every other month) for production oversight
  • Progressive, contemporary, outgoing, personality and personal style with a buttoned up, organized, professional work ethic

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Explore our extensive range of benefits here.
