On the Care Experience team, our mission is to build intelligent tools that empower our customer service agents and customers—whether through seamless human support or smart self-service. By delivering a unified, AI-powered support platform, we aim to accelerate agent performance, reduce repetitive work, and ensure every interaction is informed, efficient, and personalized. When we succeed, customers get the right help faster, agents feel more confident and effective, and the support experience becomes a key differentiator for Toast.
About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Design, build, and deliver features in Toast’s enterprise management products
- Ensure quality by building automated testing for changes
- Roll* features out to customers, including monitoring for success
- Collaborate with UX and PM on the definition and design of features
- Partner with a wide array of teams across Toast
- Work with experienced engineers to deliver design and code review
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
- Experience building backend services, APIs, or front ends
- Comfortable working with an Object Oriented Language like Java or Kotlin
- Experience building complex web applications with React is a plus
- Experience building android applications with Kotlin is a plus
- Focused on delivering positive impact for Toast customers
- Experience delivering high quality, reliable services to production
- Enjoys working in a team environment with a shared code-base

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions, if eligible), benefits, and equity (if eligible).
Pay Range$115,000—$184,000 USD
