What You’ll Do:

Produce high quality, enterprise grade experiencesUse Java to design processes that consume/produce data and build backend applications to power Wayfair Pricing platformsDesign and implement data processing pipelines utilizing  Google Cloud platform technologies.Provide superior monitoring visibility to technical and operational health of the platform using DataDogHone your technical leadership skills as you help grow engineers on your team to develop the next generation of Wayfair engineeringCollaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to refine product requirements, aligning development efforts with strategic business goals.Uphold high quality standards, advocating for best practices and leading code reviews to maintain excellence in development.Explore and implement new technologies and frameworks to enhance platform functionality and user experience.Use ecommerce business knowledge to convert the product requirements into a technical solution.

We Are a Match Because You Have:6+ years of experience in backend software engineering using object oriented language Proficient in Java or C#. Nice to have: PythonBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience working with relational and non-relational databasesExperience working with event-driven architectures, DDD, and TDDExperience and desire to work in an agile environmentAnalytical mindset and passion for solving business problems with technologyExperience in Big Data technologies like Apache Kafka/Apache spark/Nosql databasesPreferred experience in the CI/CD tools/platforms like Buildkite/Docker/Kubernetes.Experience with Cloud Native architecture platforms like Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.Experience in system monitoring using tools like DataDog etc.Experience in development and technical design of backend applications and data processing pipelines from start to finishExperience and deep understanding of atomic design (reusable components)
