We're on the lookout for a passionate individual to fortify our software verification team for either - Flight Control, Energy, Propulsion or Platform software - where your expertise will be instrumental in guaranteeing the safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance of our groundbreaking Lilium aircraft software systems.

Our software verification team at Lilium is responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and compliance of software systems used in aircraft. This includes analyzing requirements, designing and executing tests, and documenting verification activities to meet regulatory standards such as DO-178C.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the cutting edge of software verification in the emerging eVTOL industry.

Your Tasks and Day-to-Day:

  • Participate to the verification strategy for the safety-critical in either of our Flight Control, Energy, Propulsion or Platform software systems in accordance with aerospace regulations.
  • Generate plans, standards, guidelines, and methods related to software verification.
  • Own software verification life cycle data (test cases, test procedures, test results, etc.) in SiL, PiL, and HiL environments.
  • Participate in cross-functional activities with other relevant stakeholders (systems, safety, security, airworthiness, design assurance, test rigs).
  • Prepare and coordinate work with external suppliers as well as teams inside Lilium.

Your Profile:

  • At least 3 years of experience in airborne software verification, with experience in the civil sector being a plus.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Embedded Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with Qualified Tools such as Simulink Test, Polyspace, RapiTime, and/or VectorCast is a plus.
  • Knowledge of safety-critical software development and verification practices, such as DO-178C and DO-331, is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of tool qualification processes such as DO-330 is advantageous.
  • C and Python programming language experience is advantageous.
  • Expertise in Systems engineering according to ARP4754A or cybersecurity according to DO-326 is a strong plus.
  • Fluent English language skills are essential.
