Position OverviewNauto is seeking an experienced and visionary Solutions Engineering Director to lead our dynamic and growing Solutions Engineering team. The Solutions Engineering Director is a key leadership role responsible for managing and guiding the Solutions Engineering team in delivering exceptional technical solutions to our customers. This position involves collaborating closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to ensure that our solutions meet customer needs and drive business growth. The Solutions Engineering Director is a strategic thinker, technically proficient, and possesses strong leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of solutions engineers, providing direction, support, and professional development opportunities. Create a high-performing team culture that fosters collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Technical Solution Development: Collaborate with the sales and product teams to understand customer requirements and develop comprehensive technical solutions that align with their needs and objectives.
- Customer Engagement: Act as a technical expert and strategic advisor for key customer accounts, participating in pre-sales activities, and ensuring the successful implementation of solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to align solutions with the company's product roadmap and technology capabilities.
- Solution Strategy: Develop and drive the solutions engineering strategy, ensuring that it supports business objectives and maintains a competitive edge in the market.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance the solutions engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Resource Planning: Collaborate with the HR team and executive leadership to assess staffing needs, hire and onboard new team members, and allocate resources effectively.
- Technical Expertise: Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to maintain a high level of technical proficiency and provide thought leadership within the organization.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience (e.g., 8+ years) in solutions engineering or a related technical pre-sales role, with at least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership capacity.
- Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of software development processes and technologies.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $190,000 - $220,000 + commission + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US, remote locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
