About the Team

The HCP Identity & Access Management (IAM) engineering teams craft secure, scalable, and intuitive solutions for managing identities and access control within the HashiCorp Cloud Platform. As a high-impact, high-visibility, fully remote team, we are guided by the Taos of HashiCorp principles in our product development and collaboration. We closely collaborate with various cloud partners across the company, steadfastly adhering to our core values.

In this role, you can expect to
  • Develop next-generation distributed systems for the HashiCorp Cloud Platform
  • Architect and build systems for managing extremely large-scale global fleets of resources that are scalable, reliable, and enterprise-level
  • Collaborate and learn remotely with a dedicated team of engineers, delivering incremental value to the business while enhancing your skills
  • Primarily program in Golang
  • Own the full lifecycle of feature development, from design through testing and release
  • Interface directly with internal teams, users, and HashiCorp customers
You may be a good fit for our team if you
  • Have 5+ years of professional software development experience and are proficient in at least one backend programming language (Golang preferred)
  • Possess a strong understanding of security principles
  • Are familiar with role-based access control (RBAC)
  • Have experience with OAuth2, SAML, or other authentication protocols
  • Have integrated with Identity-as-a-Service (IDaaS) platforms such as Auth0, Okta, or similar identity providers
  • Have integrated with IAM from cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Are pragmatic, methodical, well-organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter
  • Are a creative thinker who prioritizes the team and business
  • Have a constant desire to grow, learn, and explore new things

Individual pay within the range will be determined based on job related-factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.

The base pay range for this role in the SF Bay Area / NYC area is:$176,000—$207,000 USDThe base pay range for this role in Seattle Metro, Denver / Boulder Metro, New York (excluding NYC), Washington D.C., or California (excluding SF Bay Area) is:$161,300—$189,800 USDThe base pay range for this role in Colorado (excluding Denver / Boulder Metro) and Washington (excluding Seattle Metro) is:$146,600—$172,500 USD
