Sr. Manager, Accounts Receivable & Collections
Vimeo is seeking an experienced Sr. Manager, Accounts Receivable & Collections to lead our global collections team. You will manage and motivate a team of collection analysts, ensuring timely follow-up on overdue invoices, negotiating payment terms, and resolving any payment issues. This is a strategic role focused on improving cash flow, reducing outstanding receivables, and driving process improvements across the accounts receivable function.
What you’ll do:
- Lead a global team of collection analysts, ensuring efficient follow-up on overdue invoices, negotiations on payment terms, and resolution of payment discrepancies.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on accounts receivable, aging reports, high-risk accounts, and collections performance to senior management.
- Analyze trends to provide actionable insights for improving cash flow and reducing outstanding receivables.
- Proactively manage client receivables, monitor risks, and engage directly with clients to facilitate timely payments.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounts receivable operations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to manage account escalations, mitigate risks, and resolve issues.
- Mentor and provide guidance to the team through regular feedback, coaching, and performance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations; support both internal and external audits.
- Work closely with sales, customer service, and finance teams to resolve issues and improve the collections processes.
- Utilize data analysis to inform decisions and establish effective policies and procedures for billing and collections business rules.
- Own key financial responsibilities, including bad debt analysis, cash forecasting, and support for the financial statement close process.
- Provide executive-level reporting on cash, credit, collections, and related metrics on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Foster a culture of customer service, accountability, quality, and continuous improvement within the team.
Skills and knowledge you should possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field, with 10+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years of experience in credit and collections, preferably for US and international entities.
- 10+ years of people management experience in Accounts Receivable or a related function within a similar company.
- Strong strategic leadership abilities.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in developing future leadership through mentorship, succession planning, and individual development plans.
- Strong collaboration skills for resolving cross-functional operational issues.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing assignments effectively.
- Proficient in Google Suite and other relevant technologies.
- Experience with Zuora and Salesforce is a plus.
Targeted Base Salary Range: $95,400 to $146,500
The base salary range listed above is for candidates located in the U.S., including the New York City metro area.
