THE ROLE 

You will drive the Manufacturing Test Strategy, Development, and Scale for Pure’s Server and Storage products, spanning PCBA (L6) and System-level (L10) testing. This is a critical leadership position that directly influences product quality and manufacturing efficiency. You will recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of Test Development Engineers, charting the mission, vision, and technology roadmap for manufacturing test aligned with the overall product roadmap. This role requires close partnership with Operations and Design Engineering teams to deliver optimal, end-to-end test solutions throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Establish and execute the manufacturing test strategy and technology roadmap for structural and functional testing to ensure product quality and production efficiency across server and storage products.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of Test Engineers, driving a fun and cohesive culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Drive the definition, planning, development, and scaling of end-to-end test solutions for new server and storage products, ensuring robust test automation and successful expansion of the existing test infrastructure.
  • Oversee technical aspects of test development and automation, supporting teams in creating new tests, collaborating on enhancements, and reviewing all manufacturing test plans and documentation.
  • Define and track key metrics for factory and field quality, integrating this data into the existing data infrastructure to drive continuous improvement in test coverage, product reliability and manufacturing test efficiency.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing high-performing engineering teams with a track record of building and developing individuals.
  • Expertise in Manufacturing Test Development, including defining and implementing both Structural (PCBA/L6) and Functional (PCBA/L6 & System/L10) Test Solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of Servers and Storage Product architecture, coupled with the ability to provide technical oversight and direction to test development teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries (e.g., Design Engineering, Operations) within the New Product Introduction (NPI) test space. 

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

 

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. 

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.

The annual base salary range is: $193,000—$290,000 USD
