Sr. Solutions Architect - Oil, Gas & Utilities

We are seeking experienced pre-sales professionals with a proven track record in helping large enterprises in the Oil, Gas, and Energy sector become more data-driven. Working alongside the Enterprise Account Executive (AE), the Senior Solution Architect will define and direct the technical strategy for our most significant accounts, promoting the widespread use of our products and deeper adoption of ML & AI. You will leverage your strong background in value selling, technical account management, and technical leadership to drive success in these accounts. You will collaborate with a team that includes hands-on resources to build proofs of concept and demonstrate Databricks' capabilities. A deep understanding of the application of ML & AI in Oil, Gas, and Utilities use cases is essential.
The impact you will have:
- Serve as the primary technical voice for Databricks across multiple clients in the Oil, Gas, and Energy sector.
- Guide customers on a transformational journey, integrating Databricks into their strategic vision.
- Implement technical strategies that align with the specific needs of Energy accounts.
- Foster a network of technical champions within client organizations.
- Align Databricks solutions with industry-specific technical strategies, such as predictive maintenance and resource optimization.
- Provide structured mentorship to team members, sharing insights specific to the energy sector.
- Gain peer respect through your expertise and contributions in the Oil, Gas, and Energy domain.
What we look for:
- Expertise in establishing and leading virtual teams to success within large, global accounts in the energy sector.
- Experience with accounts exceeding $1 million ACV with a consumption model
- Experience forming relationships with executives and influencers in the energy industry.
- Present compelling points of view to decision-makers, guiding them towards successful data-driven transformations.
- Technical proficiency in big data, data science, and cloud technologies, with a focus on energy-specific applications.
- Experience in data-driven business transformation, ideally in optimizing energy production and distribution.
- Production programming experience in Python, R, Scala, or Java, with a preference for Databricks Certification.
- Familiarity with AI and ML applications in the energy sector, such as predictive maintenance, demand response management, and smart grid optimization

Pay Range Transparency

The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
