At Databricks, we are passionate about helping data teams solve the world's most challenging problems — from making the next mode of transportation a reality to accelerating the development of medical breakthroughs. We do this by building and running the world's best data and AI infrastructure platform so our customers can use deep data insights to improve their business.
Databricks is looking for a motivated Strategy and Execution Manager to join our Deal Desk Transformation team that helps define Quote-to-Order (QtO) strategy and drive scalability. You will collaborate with the Deal Desk functions, senior leaders, and stakeholders across lines of business to execute process and system enhancement projects. Managing stakeholder expectations and ensuring the smooth implementation of process/system changes are key aspects of this role. You will be accountable for end-to-end transformation project lifecycle support, from strategic QtO process design to requirements gathering through to perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to post-release enablement and support. Your ability to manage resistance to change, lead cross-functional conversations, and influence stakeholders sets you apart. You thrive in a dynamic environment and excel at problem-solving, project management, and driving results. You are passionate about helping us build a Deal Desk function with industry-leading business agility, process scalability, and automation in an environment of rapid growth.
The impact you will have:
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Strategy & Operations, Finance Data and Strategy (FDS), IT systems teams, and relevant stakeholders such as GTM, Legal, Order Management, Field Sales, and Finance to roll out new and improved system/process enhancements and new commercialization initiatives
- Effectively enable internal stakeholders and field organization on new system/process enhancements and new commercialization initiatives
- Be a trusted partner to the Strategy & Execution Leadership by being independently capable of driving small-to-medium projects and initiatives
- Contribute to the delivery team by working with the IT, business, and product owners to refine user stories and requirements, perform UAT testing, and go live on said requirements
- Solve complex business problems by breaking them down into tangible steps for business systems developers to implement.
- Contribute to the QtC Strategy and build processes in place to ensure we have the right prioritizations at the right time
- Formulate your own key questions, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources to identify the highest impact opportunities and actionable insights.
- Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data.
What we look for:
- 6+ years of experience in a business analyst, operations strategy, tech quote-to-cash, or corporate strategy role (with a focus on operational performance). Experience in the enterprise software, SaaS and B2B industry preferred.
- Ability to effectively deliver enablement materials to both internal stakeholders and field organizations.
- Advanced research and analysis skills that you can flex to address, define, and break down a complex problem and/or situation.
- The propensity to summarize and communicate complex ideas and concepts within internal teams with authority, influencing stakeholders including Databricks executives and department leadership.
- Ability and passion to analyze, set priorities, and solve complex problems
- Comfortable and thrive in a rapidly scaling and dynamic startup environment
- Process expert: Envision E2E process change to solve our needs, drive agreement, document requirements, guide execution in partnership with IT, perform UAT, and report on progress.
- Knowledge of Salesforce CPQ and common Go To Market and Deal Support business processes
- Be self-driven, and show the ability to adhere to deadlines across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment without losing sight of accuracy
- A fondness for customer service and patience to work with various cross-functional teams and business partners
- Proficiency with common business tools such as Google Workspace Office Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), JIRA, or Lucid Charts to create dashboards, reports, and other deliverables
