SUPERVISOR, STARLINK ENTERPRISE INTEGRATION 

The Starlink Enterprise team is looking for an operations supervisor to manage a team of technicians and specialists for hardware assembly, test, integration and repair for all Starlink Enterprise products, including: mobility, ground-systems, commercial products, and test equipment. This individual will be responsible for the execution of all integration operations for enterprise-related applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead a team responsible for Enterprise and Aviation-related integration and test operations, including:
    • Integration and repair of Starlink systems for all enterprise systems (Aviation, maritime, automotive, locomotive, ground systems)
    • Mechanical and electrical assembly, activation of mission-specific development and continuous-integration test systems for all of Starlink enterprise platforms
    • Certification and development test execution and coordination, including: Vibration, Thermal, RF Performance, EMI
    • Correspondence with certification and regulatory agencies to ensure quality of Starlink services for various enterprise applications
  • Interface with area leadership and prioritize work based on production schedule and organizational goals.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues in real-time, push feedback to correct owners to eliminate repeat issues
  • Ensure product quality and conformance to specifications and coordinate the disposition of non-conforming product. Aid in investigations and root-cause analysis of any non-conformances.
  • Ensure all build, integration and test operations are conducted in compliance with all regulatory and safety protocols at all times
  • Act as technical decision maker and advisor to the team, making impactful strategic decisions that affect overall business outcome, driving:
    • Personnel training and development
    • Development and implementation of efficiency improvement projects
    • Root cause analysis and implementation of corresponding corrective action plans
    • Reduction of downtime for product and personnel
  • Work closely with development and design engineers, machine shops and external vendors to make parts that are designed for manufacturability with high reliability.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s degree and 5 years of experience in a manufacturing and test environment, or 10 years in a manufacturing and test environment.
  • 2+ years of working hands-on with safety-critical systems, mechanical assemblies or heavy equipment
  • 2+ years of professional experience leading a team

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Aviation Mechanic certificate: Airframe and Powerplant (A+P)
  • Lean manufacturing training and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret controlled documentation and processes such as: cable harnesses, wiring diagrams, layout drawings, mechanical drawings, GD&T, assembly procedures/work instructions, schematics, engineering drawings, and parts lists
  • Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Failure Mode Effects Analysis
  • Experience preferred in fast-paced production environment with flight quality hardware
  • Six Sigma Certification
  • Able to adapt to constant changing work assignments and fast-paced work environment
  • Proficient with computers, the ability to use MS Office, shop floor management software (ERP) and related programs

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed
  • Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: 

Pay Range:

Supervisor: $105,000.00 - $135,000.00/per year

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
