The Supply team is responsible for recruiting, vetting, and maintaining high quality hosts in the right locations, for the right seasons and moments, at the right price. They identify high quality supply for new and existing business, while also maintaining our high quality standards of all active supply.

The Difference You Will Make:

This role requires candidates to be based in San Francisco, Seattle, Washington, D.C., or New York. This role is not eligible for relocation support.

As the Supply Licensing Operations Lead you will lead the strategy, program development, and execution of licensing operations focused on hosts who offer experiences and other services. This highly cross functional role will work across Product, Design, Engineering, Legal, Policy, and Supply teams to ensure timely and accurate license and credential collection and verification as required. 

You will be responsible for driving the delivery of centrally run strategic programs, as well as defining and executing localized strategies that play a key role in accelerating Airbnb's growth and retention efforts. You should be comfortable with a variety of operational programs and processes, familiar with navigating complex regulatory environments, a keen eye for quality/detail, and an approach that inspires the teams and individuals you work with to exceed expectations. 

A Typical Day: 

  • Lead a cross-functional team of operators, subject matter experts, and builders globally, driving operational excellence and accountability, while ensuring quality outcomes.
  • Drive the strategic evolution of how we evaluate, track, and decide on supply as it enters and moves through the funnel.  
  • Drive the execution and operationalization of central programs and strategies for Scaled Operations
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders to quickly drive to alignment and execute to meet our goals
  • Conduct in-depth business analysis and develop a deep understanding of key value drivers to identify growth opportunities. Develop key insights for executive-level presentations and drive critical business decisions.
  • Own clear communication regarding performance against monthly and annual targets. Identify reporting issues, gaps in processes, and drive timely resolution.
  • Manage tooling and infrastructure requirements, enhancements, and prioritization to ensure all teams working along the funnel have the tools they need to efficiently make progress and achieve exceptional goals.
  • Partner with relevant stakeholders to build models that forecast near and long-term goals, actuals, and performance.
  • Manage the run the business needs of the Experiences Supply team (setting quotas, utilizing insights and tools to drive business performance, evaluating and measuring field performance, cadenced business reporting, territory design, resourcing).
  • Support the creation of playbooks and execution of programs across all Experiences related workstreams.
  • Travel to the San Francisco office, as required

Your Expertise:

  • 10+ years of experience in regulatory, compliance, or licensing operations; at least 4 years of experience leading cross functional teams.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills including designing, developing and evolving business models and operational processes.
  • Develop and monitor metrics, dashboards and reporting tools to improve productivity and efficiency across the licensing journey..
  • Experience working globally with local nuance and operating against a complex compliance matrix.
  • Demonstrated success in creating and driving operational rigor and excellence while building trusted relationships with key stakeholders to maximize productivity and remove friction from operational processes to support long-term durable growth of the business.
  • Success working with partners, under a variety of workforce models, to achieve business objectives and successful outcomes.
  • Track record of working closely with senior leadership and acting as a thought partner to inform strategy and decision-making, yielding positive outcomes.

Your Location:

Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant will need to be based in San Francisco, Seattle, Washington, DC or New York City to be able to conduct their work. Currently, employees can not be located in: Alaska, Indiana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Delaware And Rhode Island. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.  

Pay Range$160,000—$200,000 USD
