About the job

As an individual contributor on the Talent Research & Intelligence (TR&I) team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Twilio’s global talent strategy.  The Talent Acquisition Team is a critical partner to the business and our TR&I team provides crucial insights on labor market trends, talent pools and competitive intelligence that impacts our current and future workforce plans. You will be a trusted advisor to the business and key stakeholders across the People organization allowing them to strategically build and leverage global workforce plans, anticipate market trends, optimally engage talent, and efficiently go to market across geographies and functions. Team members act as consultative partners, using internal and external talent market insights to inform decision-making, candidate engagement, and long-term workforce strategy across functions and regions.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Own research deliverables from inception to delivery, including some stakeholder engagement, alignment with Talent and Twilio priorities, research analysis and effective communication of findings.
  • Provide competitive talent insights to senior TA, HR and business leaders critical to our talent strategies and workforce planning.
  • Proactively partner to deliver insights in anticipation of business needs and priorities that will help Twilio respond to changing market trends.
  • Use a variety of research tools and approaches to drive and deliver research across multiple markets and functions.
  • Build and activate strategic talent communities to enhance the impact of talent strategies for priority roles and/or locations.
  • Collaborate with teammates to identify the simplest, most effective solutions to stakeholder challenges.
  • Act as subject matter expert on labor markets, industry trends, and associated research methodologies.

Qualifications

Not all applicants will have skills that match a job description exactly. Twilio values diverse experiences in other industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. While having “desired” qualifications make for a strong candidate, we encourage applicants with alternative experiences to also apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!

Required:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with 3–5+ years in research, analytics, consulting, or finance.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with spreadsheets, including formulas and pivot tables, and comfortable with basic data visualization. Skilled at independently running standard research projects and synthesizing insights from multiple data sources.
  • Systems Thinking: Strong understanding of the talent ecosystem and how its various components interact. Experienced in integrating data from platforms such as Draup, Pitchbook, and LinkedIn to deliver well-rounded insights.
  • Storytelling & Influence: Able to distill research findings into clear, actionable recommendations, and present them in compelling, audience-tailored formats. Confident delivering presentations to diverse stakeholders, with materials that drive discussion and decision-making.
  • Curiosity: Naturally inquisitive, asking insightful questions to fully diagnose problems and identify effective solutions. Self-motivated to deeply understand business challenges through data.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities. Connects people and ideas to generate creative solutions and drive results.

Desired:

  • Experience with LinkedIn Talent Insights, Draup and Pitchbook tools.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven track record of proactively engaging senior leaders and partnering with cross-functional teams, especially within People functions, to deliver market intelligence that meets evolving business needs.
  • Business Acumen: Able to see the broader business context and draw meaningful connections to advance organizational objectives.
