Jump is looking for a highly motivated and driven Tax Specialist to join its tax team. As a Tax Specialist, you will work on a variety of US and global tax compliance, research, and planning projects. You will also have the opportunity to participate in ongoing process improvements and tax automation projects, working cross-functionally with a variety of teams at Jump.
This role is based out of our Chicago office with an expectation to work in the office a majority of each week.
What You’ll Do:
- Work with our global service providers to prepare and review income tax returns for US and non-US entities
- Assist senior team members with researching complex and unique tax issues
- Prepare indirect tax returns for jurisdictions throughout the US, Europe, and Asia
- Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancements and assist with the design and implementation of proposed automation solutions
- Participate in the preparation of ASC 740 tax provisions
- Collaborate with the team on complex transfer pricing issues and processes
- Assist with responses to tax authority correspondence and tax examinations

Education & Experience:
- At least two years of tax experience in public accounting
- BS/BA in Accounting or a related field
- CPA and/or MST preferred
- Experience with tax return preparation in your area of expertise
- Highly proficient in MS Excel
- Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred, but not required:
- Indirect Tax
- International Tax
- ASC 740 tax provisions
- Fixed asset data management and calculating tax depreciation adjustments
