Carrier Manager Team Lead - Responsabile Ufficio Traffico

You would join our Operations department, based out of the Milan office and will report to the Head Of Operations.

ABOUT THIS ROLE:

As Carrier Manager Team Lead - Responsabile Ufficio Traffico you’ll manage a group of junior & senior employees, be responsible for the punctual and efficient disposition of sennder Italia transports, and own the relationships with carriers to solidify our rapid growth within the international market.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Manage a team and work with carriers to solve complex business challenges  to identify opportunities and recommend solutions;
  • Develop team members skills, manage problems and provide performance analysis to support sennder Italia’s success in achieving its goals;
  • Ensure coverage for open available freight using internal tools, external capacity resources, and learned sales techniques;
  • Work closely with our most trusted carriers to ensure the best service and strengthen the relationship with our supplier;
  • Encourage carrier tech adoption;
  • Expand our carrier network by identifying and onboarding key partners;
  • Supervise our daily transports and handle all arising inquiries from carriers.

PREFERABLY YOU HAVE:

  • Experience in using data to analyse and track key metrics;
  • Consolidated experience (3+ years experience) in the field of express courier (domesticor international) or full truck load transport by road (preferably with Freight Forwardingexperience)
  • Knowledge of the Highway Code
  • Knowledge of regulating exceptional situation in the heavy good transport sector
  • Flexibility, mediation and bargaining capabilities
  • Availability to work on shifts in case of need
  • Excellent knowledge of geography and road network
  • 1+ years experience in people management with at least 3 direct reports;
  • Organizational skills and great attention to details;
  • A great problem solver approach as well an entrepreneurial mindset;
  • Ideally a native level of Italian language and a very good English knowledge.
