Technical Program Manager- Supplier Advertising
Who We Are: The Supplier Advertising team at Wayfair provides solutions for Wayfair’s 10,000+ suppliers to advertise their brands and products. These offerings include on-site solutions such as sponsored product listings and display ads, as well as off-site offerings such as email placements and Meta targeting. We work on both improving our products to maximize their inherent value, as well as advising suppliers on how best to leverage them to grow their businesses on Wayfair. Not only are we generating millions in extra revenue for suppliers and solidifying Wayfair as a preferred partner, but we’ve built a significant business that’s one of the highest growth areas in the company.
We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to join the Program & Operations team that sits within the overall Supplier Advertising Team. The Program and Operations team covers a wide array of responsibilities, including but not limited to owning sales enablement and growth strategies for our sales team, our Managed Sponsored Products and Managed Display programs, hitting revenue targets, and partnering with our Product & Engineering teams on new product development and enhancements. Our work is fast paced, high-impact, and heavily relied upon by our suppliers and revenue-bearing teams. This role will own highly visible and cross-functional projects that require strong technical background in order to interface with Analytics, Engineering, and Product teams. This is a hybrid role based in Boston.
What You’ll Do:
- Commercial owner of our Advertising Agency Strategy, including but not limited to, agency research, partnering with Product and Engineering teams to define & build a solution, Go-to-market, and continued development and improvement
- Own roadmap development and delivery across our Managed Service offerings (Sponsored Product, Sponsored Display, and Sponsored Shops) focusing on enhanced automation, scripting to improve optimization strategies, and reporting capabilities
- Partner with Managed Service teams, Managed Sales, and Analytics to identify key program needs and opportunities to inform Managed Service technical roadmap
- Work closely with Product and Engineers to quickly build and implement solutions based on your roadmap and business critical needs
- Own ad hoc high priority initiatives across Supplier Advertising Org that require close collaboration between Commercial, Product, and Engineering
- Learn and grow in the dynamic industry of digital advertising & retail media, specifically Display advertising, immersing self in industry news in order to stay abreast of industry trends, ad tech advancements, and platform updates to ensure our advertising strategies remain innovative and competitive
- Own and track against key performance metrics to show the impact of your work
What you’ll need:
- 5+ years of experience in Technical Program Management or program management at a technology company or similar field
- Digital advertising experience or willingness to learn
- Strong communication and cross-functional team working skills
- Thrive in a fast-paced working environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand how various parts of the business interact; can identify and approach problems from a customer perspective
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication style based on the audience, specifically for Engineering and Product teams
- You are an entrepreneur in the way you work, self-starting, and ready to solve problems that do not have a clear cut solution
