The Opportunity: As our first people team member on the ground in Israel, you will focus on recruiting across functions for our Technical, G&A, and Product teams, as well as providing general HR and operational support for our growing team in the region. You will own requisitions and concentrate on building talent pools. This role will be key in creating exceptional experiences for our candidates and employees in Israel. We seek trusted advisors who can source and deliver top talent with an “always recruiting” mindset and also partner with the business to deliver on people programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment:

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle for Israel roles across Technical, G&A, and Product teams.
  • Partner with client teams to scale recruiting strategies that support continued growth.
  • Develop effective sourcing and recruiting strategies to build talent pools for frequently hired roles.
  • Consistently source, build, and deliver robust talent pipelines.
  • Extend, negotiate, and successfully close candidates.

HR Generalist Duties:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and partner for employees and managers within the Israel location, supporting inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Implement and administer HR policies and programs in alignment with global People and Places strategy and local labor laws.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment and support business objectives within the site.
  • Assist in onboarding new employees and ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting and annual reviews.
  • Coordinate regional employee training and development programs.
  • Serve as key liaison for our People Business Partner and COE teams
  • Work closely with the site management and operations team on events, trainings, and building office culture.

Data-Driven Insights:

  • Influence with data to drive continuous process and strategy improvement.
  • Evaluate and evolve our hiring practices based on market trends and data analysis.

Culture and Employee Relations:

  • Attend and host meet-ups and events to enhance our ready-later talent strategy.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and escalate employee concerns appropriately.

Experience You May Bring:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in HR-related roles, preferably as an HR specialist/partner/technical recruiter in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated success in hiring and developing talent in high-growth tech environments.
  • Proven ability to build strategic partnerships with business leaders and coach best practices.
  • Always learning mindset with a builder and owner mentality.
  • Experience working in an internal recruiting organization within a high-growth tech company.
  • Strong knowledge of the technology markets, with demonstrated experience hiring in Israel.
  • Proven experience with creative sourcing techniques beyond LinkedIn and a strong marketing mindset.
  • Track record of meeting deadlines and executing accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Model behaviors of a true team player and guardian of the Okta culture.
  • Familiar with human resource concepts, practices, and programs, including relevant regional labor laws
  • Eager to learn, able to bring the “outside-in” with the ability to plan, implement, & track.
  • Detail-oriented, precise, and highly accurate, especially when working with data
  • Goal-oriented, proactive, accountable, and passionate about driving results
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills
  • Project management abilities
  • Bachelor / Master degree in psychology or related fields
  • Excellent English
  • Advanced proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office and GSuite
  • Four days a week onsite
