T-SQL / Database Developer (w/m/x/d)
Join the ride!
We are seeking an experienced T-SQL / Database Developer with 7–10 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining database solutions, including implementing complex business logic within Stored Procedures and Functions to support applications at MILES Mobility.
Deine Verantwortung- Design and evolve scalable, high-performance OLTP database architectures supporting mobility, payment, and telematics systems. Define schema standards, indexing strategies, and data integrity models.
- Design and develop advanced Stored Procedures and Functions that implement core business workflows including reservation lifecycle, trip management, billing calculations, fleet utilization, and financial processing.
- Architect database solutions supporting telematics integrations, high-frequency event ingestion like vehicle status updates, and asynchronous system interactions.
- Lead performance tuning initiatives including execution plan analysis, advanced indexing strategies, partitioning, and optimization for high-concurrency, high-volume workloads.
- Design resilient transaction handling, isolation strategies, and deadlock prevention mechanisms to support mission-critical systems with heavy parallel activity.
- Investigate and resolve complex production issues related to database logic, performance bottlenecks, and data inconsistencies in real-time environments.
- Contribute to CI/CD processes, schema versioning, zero-downtime deployments, rollback planning, and database change governance.
- You will be integrally involved in designing and implementing resilient database server environments, incl. replication, fail-over, load-balancing, and recovery management.
- You will be trained on and using AI Agent orchestration to develop features end-to-end from design to review and validation, using automated test suites.
- Strong experience designing scalable, high-availability OLTP database architectures; advanced schema design, normalization/denormalization strategies, partitioning, indexing strategy, and audit/history models for high-volume systems.
- Deep expertise in writing and optimizing complex Stored Procedures, Functions, and database-driven workflows implementing critical business rules (payments, reservations, billing, fleet logic).
- Experience designing database solutions for telematics/event-driven integrations, high-frequency data ingestion, status tracking, asynchronous processing patterns, and external system integrations.
- Strong execution plan analysis, indexing strategies (clustered, non-clustered, filtered), deadlock resolution, and optimization for large-scale datasets.
- Expertise in transaction isolation levels, locking behavior, blocking analysis, idempotent logic design, and designing systems resilient to high-concurrency workloads.
- Experience with database versioning, migration scripting, CI/CD deployments, zero-downtime release strategies, and production troubleshooting in mission-critical environments.
- Openness and willingness to learn emerging and rapidly changing agentic development methodologies.
- Experience with Unix development environments, and open systems databases, such as PostgreSQL.
