Vice President, Global People Partners

The Vice President, Global People Partners is a strategic leadership role responsible for building and leading a high-performing team of People Partners (PPs) who serve as trusted advisors and consultants to business leaders across the globe. This role will partner closely with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives, foster a positive and inclusive work environment, and use data, analytics, and insights to drive organizational success. The successful candidate for this role will have a customer-centric mindset with the ability to foster strong partnerships across the People Leadership Team, People Team, and functional leaders to enhance collaborative success.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute a global People Partner strategy that aligns with the company and overall People Team business strategies.
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to the People Partner team, ensuring they effectively guide and support their assigned business units.
  • Build strong relationships with Senior Staff and their leadership teams across the organization. 
  • Utilize data, analytics and insights to consult and support on all people-related matters.
  • Champion a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the People Partner function.
  • Drive organizational effectiveness initiatives utilizing data and analytics, including organizational design, change management, and employee engagement within client groups.
  • Partner with business leaders to assess organizational health and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide expertise and guidance on Global HR policies, processes, and programs.
  • Partner closely with Talent Management & Development oversee talent management processes, including performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development, and execute on strategic workforce planning to identify talent needs and develop strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
  • Coach and mentor People Partners, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Foster strong partnerships with other People Team functions (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Global Total Rewards, Global Talent & Development, etc) to ensure seamless delivery of HR services and programs.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Partner closely with People Strategy & Operations to develop and track key HR metrics to demonstrate the impact of the People Partner function.
  • Promote Positive Employee Relations to cultivate a collaborative work environment that reflects the company’s values and culture.
  • Develop and scale the employee relations approach in partnership with Legal to ensure compliance and alignment across all regions.
  • Offer guidance on complex matters to managers, which may involve leadership, on issues such as accommodations, harassment, discrimination, and workplace misconduct.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in HR, with at least 10 years of executive HR experience and at least five years of international HR experience.
  • High EQ with the proven ability to excel at building strong relationships and navigate social situations with sensitivity and awareness.
  • Experience working in a global organization with a diverse workforce.
  • Excellent business acumen and understanding of business strategy.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Data-driven and analytical mindset.
  • Passion for fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Highly experienced in complex change management – across multiple employee segments, geographies and business functions
  • Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills. Strong attention to detail with a creative approach.
  • You’re a collaborator, relationship-builder and influencer of change.
  • You’re willing to be a player-coach. 
  • You operate with a customer-centric mindset – capable of balancing competing demands and priorities
  • Excellent executive presence and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • High degree of motivation and learning agility; ability to creatively multitask while managing deadlines and perform under pressure.

Work Hours: This position will require you to be available during core business hours

Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home.

This position may require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.

Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is $226,330 to $332,835. 

Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
