HelloFresh is in search of a creative and resourceful Video Editor to join our Performance Innovation Team. The ideal candidate is proficient in all aspects of post-production and has the ability to translate footage in creative ways - using high-quality video, iPhone footage, motion graphics and a wide range of editing techniques. Must have a strong work ethic, the ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment on multiple projects at once, and a positive attitude. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for editing videos for paid social content (YouTube, TikTok, Meta, Snap) and OTT, ranging from product-focused videos to UGC-style content. You will report directly to the Producer, Performance Innovation and collaborate closely with our Creative Team to bring their vision to life.

You will ...
  • Edit short form videos from scratch for our paid social channels, using impeccable creative instincts and industry best practices
  • Drive all aspects of the video post-production process -- from ingesting footage following a shoot, to creating multiple edits for various outlets, to exporting for final delivery
  • Create motion graphics and simple bespoke animations in After Effects (titles, lower thirds, end cards), and collaborate with other creative teams to communicate design/graphic needs clearly. 
  • Manage video workflow across formats, locations, and delivery stages, collaborating with Sr. Video Editor as needed
  • Work efficiently, proactively getting production work into near-final state to minimize rounds of feedback
  • Develop and adapt work from written and verbal feedback
  • Meet or beat deadlines provided by stakeholders with impeccable standards for quality
  • Quality check all video content
  • ​​Edit videos for paid social content, adhering to brand guidelines and creative briefs provided by the Creative Team
  • Collaborate with the Creative Team to come up with new ideas on how to use our library of footage.
  • Utilize your expertise in video editing to enhance and refine footage, ensuring an engaging final product
  • Ensure videos are optimized for various social media platforms, taking into account specific requirements and best practices
  • Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to bring fresh ideas and innovative approaches to video editing

  • Self-starting idea generator who is excited about trying new techniques and breaking the mold
  • Reliable business partner with strong interpersonal skills and can collaborate effectively with relevant teams and people at all levels
  • Expert in digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Premiere Pro, After Effects, Adobe Creative Suite) with familiarity using UGC-first editing platforms like CapCut and similar tools
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your video editing skills and creativity
  • Solid knowledge of the social media landscape and an understanding of the specific requirements and formats for various platforms
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with the Creative Team and other stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically to address challenges and achieve desired outcomes

At a minimum, you have...
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Film, Photography or equivalent preferred, but not required
  • 3+ years of video editing experience in the digital space for web, retail and social distribution 
  • Strong experience developing assets for Paid Media, particularly for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
  • Expert in digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Lightworks, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Extensive knowledge of color grading and excellent sense of pace and timing
  • Experience working within tight deadlines while maintaining collaborative spirit and high quality output
  • Ability to turn around same-day edits and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience working with different ad formats, conversion tactics, and creative advertising principles.
  • Experience in food and/or lifestyle is ideal
  • An ability and willingness to always be the calmest person in the room
  • Impeccable organization with a careful attention to detail and a strong eye for quality
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work on-site 4 days a week
